Hey guys,

Have had a solid start to the year, which is very unlike me, but this is the first week I have been stumped with what to do. Plan is to try and trade pretty aggressively to stay in the top 1,000 and hopefully storm home later on in the season.

I think Guelfi looks good this week, and Garlett is probably the obvious one to trade to him. But what next? Mirra looks good as well but none of those rookies are ready to go and I think Murphy will come back soon.

Or do I chase points a bit more and turf Buddy to bring in an extra premo. Billings and Goldy are obviously very disappointing, but I think I'm just going to hold them and really try and build up my team around them as quickly as I can rather than wasting trades sideways'ing. Goldy's next month looks pretty good too, he should at least hold his price.

Same dilema with Buddy Jay. Hearing anything from 2 - 6 weeks. I am holding this week but looking to go Buddy to Danger next week as Danger will bottom out next week.
Garlett to Guelfi

Then you could look at Buddy to Rd 12 or 13 forward (Maclean or Gray and you will have cover for his Rd 10 bye are 2 I would consider).
Or if looking at holding Buddy Naughton to Mirra for cash.

Nice team overall and sound amount of trades left, Will probably need to address Goldstein and Billings in coming weeks but you have the trades available.

Bit of an update:

So I've cashed in on a couple of cows in Holman and Murray over the last two weeks and dumped the disappointing Billings and Garlett, bringing in rookies + Yeo and Mclean to replace them which I've been happy with so far. Still ranked top 1k but certainly have a few holes being that I'm starting 3 fwd rookies and a spud at R2.

Pretty stumped on what to do this week.. Most of the ideas I've considered includes downgrading in defence (whether that is Doedee, Finlayson or Naughton) and then an upgrade. Goldy to Naitanui, Finlayson to Webster, ZGL to Hogan have all been considered. Open to any suggestions at all.

To complete your defence I'd be looking at Sicily and Hurley. For your forwards, Gray, Walters, and Buddy. Hurley injured atm, Gray bye next week, Walters and Buddy will bottom out in 2-3 weeks. That leaves Sicily. So could go Doedee and Finlayson to Sicily and Phillips (via Coff)?

Alternatively trade Goldy to a NN, Grundy, Stef if not keen on Sicily.

Thanks GL, I ended up doing the Sicily option you suggested. Not a big fan, but just couldn't see who else was going to finish my defence and he has a good bye.
