Three weeks left and carnage everywhere. Who you give the C to has never been more important. For those new to the forums, each week I will tell you some statistics on a player's last 3 games, their last 3 against this week's opponent, and their last 3 at this ground. I will also do a quick overview on my thoughts and have a guess at their score for this week. From all this, I'll give you my top 5 captain choices for the week.

The facts & thoughts:

Bontempelli
Last 3: 122, 96, 93 (104 avg)
Last 3 against GWS: 102, 90, 106 (99 avg)
Last 3 at Etihad: 96, 98, 134 (109 avg)

Good game last week and pretty good against the Giants. Bont is an option if you like seeing your captain play early. Prediction - 110

Kelly
Last 3: 131, 91, 98 (107 avg)
Last 3 against Bulldogs: 91, 76, 36 (68 avg)
Last 3 at Etihad: 107, 111, 67 (95 avg)

No good history against the Dogs but Kelly's a different beast this year. Too many 90s for me though so it's not worth the risk. Prediction - 105

Parker
Last 3: 116, 105, 95 (105 avg)
Last 3 against Fremantle: 118, 82, 119 (106 avg)
Last 3 at SCG: 95, 117, 100 (104 avg)

Parker's in pretty good form now after his dodgy start to the year. Good against the Dockers and good at home. Prediction - 110

Neale
Last 3: 152, 106, 95 (118 avg)
Last 3 against Sydney: 131, 95, 36 (87 avg)
Last 3 at SCG: 98 (98 avg)

Wow did Neale go huge last week! He's back to his high disposal ways and he scored a 131 on the Swans last time they played. Prediction - 125

Fyfe
Last 3: 132, 120, 88 (113 avg)
Last 3 against Sydney: 99, 115, 101 (105 avg)
Last 3 at SCG: 114, 116, 85 (105 avg)

Fyfe is very much back and has two in a row 120+. Hood against the Swans and in Sydney. Do you regret trading him out? Prediction - 120

Dangerfield
Last 3: 88, 112, 140 (113 avg)
Last 3 against Richmond: 93, 120, 95 (103 avg)
Last 3 at Kardinia: 134, 131, 125 (130 avg)

With Duncan and Selwood out, it's going to be a Danger-dominant midfield. He scored 142 last time Selwood missed and I think he'll be more than ok. Prediction - 130

D. Martin
Last 3: 117, 112, 116 (115 avg)
Last 3 against Geelong: 132, 99, 94 (108 avg)
Last 3 at Kardinia: 96 (96 avg)

Dusty in excellent form and a shoe-in for 110+ each week. I think he might go a little harder this week in a must-win game for the Tigers to lock in Top 4. Prediction - 120

Zorko
Last 3: 94, 119, 48 (87 avg)
Last 3 against Gold Coast: 116, 90, 109 (105 avg)
Last 3 at Gabba: 94, 119, 181 (131 avg)

The Suns gave up 6 tons last week, three above 125 including a 152. Zorko is very good and loves the Gabba. You see where this is going. Prediction - 135

Beams
Last 3: 80, 144, 142 (122 avg)
Last 3 against Gold Coast: 103, 119, 85 (102 avg)
Last 3 at Gabba: 80, 142, 71 (98 avg)

Beams is also very good and last week's down game was an anomaly (probably due to me making him my captain). Expect a big one this week to pair with Zorko. Prediction - 130

S. Martin
Last 3: 90, 113, 99 (101 avg)
Last 3 against Gold Coast: 101, 100, 56 (86 avg)
Last 3 at Gabba: 90, 99, 85 (91 avg)

No Witts. Griffin scored a 96 last week and Stef's a class above. Unless Archie Smith gets named, expect big things. Prediction - 120

Ablett
Last 3: 85, 152, 127 (121 avg)
Last 3 against Brisbane: 105, 63, 83 (84 avg)
Last 3 at Gabba: 83, 143, 97 (108 avg)

Probably won't play but, if he does, the hamstring's a risk anyway. Stay away. Prediction - 90

Heppell
Last 3: 138, 105, 101 (115 avg)
Last 3 against Adelaide: 66, 128, 102 (99 avg)
Last 3 at Etihad: 105, 101, 86 (97 avg)

While one star Bomber is suspended this week, Heppell's the in-form guy we haven't noticed. It's very risky to pick someone against Adelaide but he looks the goods. Prediction - 115

Sloane
Last 3: 124, 47, 134 (102 avg)
Last 3 against Essendon: 143, 128, 136 (136 avg)
Last 3 at Etihad: 74, 88, 79 (80 avg)

ESSENDON DON'T TAG! Prediction - 130

Murphy
Last 3: 107, 93, 92 (97 avg)
Last 3 against West Coast: 93, 146, 116 (118 avg)
Last 3 at Etihad: 93, 104, 90 (96 avg)

Murphy loves playing the Eagles and is pretty good under the roof. One to consider if you don't have the huge ceiling guys above. Prediction - 110

Kreuzer
Last 3: 124, 57, 89 (90 avg)
Last 3 against West Coast: 65, 83, 32 (60 avg)
Last 3 at Etihad: 57, 149, 132 (113 avg)

Ignore those numbers against the Eagles. This is an Eagles team without a real ruckman. Billy Longer scored 112 last week ffs. Prediction - 130

Docherty
Last 3: 97, 117, 93 (102 avg)
Last 3 against West Coast: 134, 100 (117 avg)
Last 3 at Etihad: 117, 149, 130 (132 avg)

Doch was pumping out captain scores not long ago but has now gone quiet. He's good against the Eagles and great at Etihad. Expect a good bounce back. Prediction - 125

Gibbs
Last 3: 125, 97, 37 (86 avg)
Last 3 against West Coast: 100, 125, 121 (115 avg)
Last 3 at Etihad: 97, 108, 145 (117 avg)

If the Saints got 8 tons against the Eagles last week, I think the Blues can get at least 4. However, Gibbs probably won't be one of them. Hutchings is tagging hard and did a good job on Stevens last week. Sorry Bryce. Prediction - 80

Gawn
Last 3: 140, 113, 83 (112 avg)
Last 3 against St Kilda: 111, 102, 88 (100 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 83, 76, 81 (80 avg)

Big Maxy plays the Saints this week with Longer as their ruckman. He's in great form and likes to play St Kilda. Expect another big score. Prediction - 125

T. Mitchell
Last 3: 99, 94, 130 (108 avg)
Last 3 against North: 97, 163, 67 (109 avg)
Last 3 at Launceston: 143, 132, 125 (133 avg)

Two scores under 100 in a row after not dropping below the ton all year. Should we be worried? Maybe... but not this week. Mitchell's a true Hawk now and loves playing in Launceston. Prediction - 130

Treloar
Last 3: 103, 119, 114 (112 avg)
Last 3 against Port: 122, 100, 93 (105 avg)
Last 3 at AO: 121, 68 (95 avg)

Been serviceable with Pendles out and will be again. Not the best Pie though. Prediction - 115

Adams
Last 3: 124, 151, 106 (127 avg)
Last 3 against Port: 111, 139, 111 (120 avg)
Last 3 at AO: 123, 139 (131 avg)

Adams is killing it in his midfield role, loves to play the Power, and is great over in Adelaide. Strongly consider giving him the C for his high ceiling and POD status. He's fairly safe too. Prediction - 130

LAHUG'S ROUGHIE OF THE WEEK!

In this segment, I'll talk about someone that, because of stats and/or gut feeling, I think will go huge this week. It'll usually be somebody that you wouldn't usually give the C to but, if you have him and are feeling brave, might be worth a look.

J.P. Kennedy
Last 3: 47, 86, 92 (75 avg)
Last 3 against Fremantle: 156, 141, 93 (130 avg)
Last 3 at SCG: 86, 118, 112 (105 avg)

Hannebery
Last 3: 92, 59, 81 (77 avg)
Last 3 against Fremantle: 145, 107, 102 (118 avg)
Last 3 at SCG: 81, 83, 88 (84 avg)

I'm going for the Sydney double here. Both have average form (although JPK's is also injury affected) but both are incredible against Freo. With Sydney's incredible form, Top 4 isn't out of the picture and I expect at least one, if not both, of these guys to feast against an opponent they usually smash. Take a punt on either of these guys if you need a POD. Gutsy prediction - 150 from at least one of them

The verdict:
1.   Zorko (135)

2.   Dangerfield (130)
3.   Adams (130)
4.   T. Mitchell (130)
5.   Beams (130)
