How much longer can we keep ignoring Seb Ross?

Especially if both Scooter and Rocky are out this week.

0.6% of teams, 550k, 109.3 average since Round 2 with only two sub 100 score (94 & 99), Gold Coast, Fremantle, Richmond, Essendon & Sydney in his next 5. Coming in for me 100% if either Scooter or Rocky is out long-term, having a blinder of a year under the radar. Similar story in the other formats, except with less consistency and a higher ceiling.

RaisyDaisy

Why would Rocky be out? He was just ill

He is consistent, but at 550k I'd much rather pick Neale, Zerrett, Beams or Oliver for similar price

Draw is extremely attractive but IMO Neale is a much better prospect and still has POD status amongst top SCers.

quinny88

Not a bad pick but I just don't see why you would bother unless you're desperate for someone completely unique.
Neale, Merrett etc the same price and far safer (both unique too)

I am thinking very hard about Scott Selwood > Seb Ross. Now I'm a Saints fan, so please kill any bias I have for this selection (if you can) I would look at Merrett, Kelly or Neale but unfortunately 553k is all I have to work with.

Currently sitting 260th and this is my last upgrade. I don't have Bont or Sloane, but fee Seb could offer decent POD

Pros:
Under 1% of teams
Very consistent
Only under 99 once if you remove round 1 anomaly.
Won't get tagged due to Jack Steven
Finds a lot of the ball (31 disposals a game and uses it well)

Cons:
Doesn't have the scope to score massively

Anyone rolling the dice?

bkimm32

flower it, pulled the trigger

900 off the leader, need some significant POD's to bridge the gap and I love Sebs game. Let's go!!

Hope Bont doesn't come out and average 130 from here on. But that's the risk I'm taking on the other 30% of teams. Dare to be different.

To answer the question we can keep ignoring him as long as 8 of the following players are still in the league

Danger
Dmart
Sloane
Mtichell
Neale
Zorko
Rocky
Ablett
Kelly
Oendles
Jelly
Merrett
Bont
Treloar
JPK

why on earth would you pay 550k for Ross when you have this

Rocky - 560k in a few weeks
Neale 563k now
Murphy 510k
Pendles 578k
Sloane -560k in a few weeks
Duncan 521k
JPK 547k

you can go further. Roberton is a better pick up at 515k and he is a defender.

Same as Yeo for 524k and a year average of 109.

bkimm32

He has better consistency than half of that list.

Ross: 36 109   99   100   123   105   111   129   112   94  101
Neale 83   131   84   140   119   124   147   129   134   55   106   125

both guys have had 1 bad game. 10k difference pretty much same consistency excpet you put a few big games in their instead of some 100s from Ross.

unless you didnt have the cash no idea why you would go Ross over neale. only if you want to go really POD for no reason.

you can even say Duncan

118   99   120   125   107   113   84   70   131   99   90

bkimm32

Welp I have exactl 553k so I'm trying to find reasons why to choose Ross over Neale because I'm basically limited to him, unless I were to choose a cheaper mid who's not a pod, like Murphy or Bont.

bkimm32

The only way I can possibly get Neale instead is if McNeice is named so I can get him instead of Ryan.

Would give me enough cash.

I still like Seb as a super POD though.

pretty consistent. having a good month as is Sydney.
