Luxury trade advice

Hi coaches. I'd appreciate some thoughts on the following.

This week I have 18 playing, and 12 trades, with 40k in the bank. Need 1D, 1F, 1R.

Def: plan Newman to Roberton. Roberton has a high BE (135), though Newman is getting up there as well (86). But I think I can gain by waiting on that one, and no need to trade to get men on the park.

Fwds Heeney definitely comes in this week for Turner. This will most likely be funded by an Otten to Ryan trade.

Rucks: wait a couple of weeks for Gawn.


Trades this week:
1) Otten to Ryan
2) Turner to Heeney

Trades sometime over next 2 weeks
3) Newman to Roberton
4) cash grab (Stewart DG)
5) cash grab (Parsons/Fisher DG)
6) Eddy to Gawn via Nank


That would make the team this:

Doch, Adams, Laird, Hurley, Lloyd, Roberton (Ryan, [Stewart])
Danger, Rocky, Sloane, Titch, Jelwood, Pendles, Bont, Fyfe (Scooter, [Fisher], Cousins)
Gawn, Witts (Strnadica)
Yeo, Macrae, Dahl, Nank, GCLynch, Heeney ([Parsons], Greenwood)

With 5 trades remaining.

In light of that, I'm thinking of being super reckless, and trading Fyfe to Dusty this week. Paying a premium for Dusty I know, but I can afford to do it this week, and if it stuffs up my cash situation I can look at a scooter DG to fund future operations. Risky, but would leave me with a final team that has 5 top 10 defenders (+Lloyd who should make it back there), 8 top 15 mids, 5 top 10 fwds (+Lynch who I think will be in a very close pack in the 10-20 bracket), Gawn and Witts. It's a formidable field team. The downside is bench cover would be weak, and I wouldn't have much set up by way of DPP for resting/injury.

Is your main goal overall? If so, go for it.

If league(s), then if you are safe in finals I would hold fire for now, but if need a win, do the trade

I just realised I can't maths good and would have 6 trades left if I DON'T trade Fyfe to Dusty, 5 if I do. In light of that, I think I'll go for it. I'm currently 3rd in my cash league but 10th in FF bronze - got some work to do to beat some of you guys haha!
