can only afford murphy, no one more expensive, so do i trade omeara to murphy (hoping he is a keeper) or go swallow for the cash build?

this is the second trade i have first was used on getting in newman.

Definitely Murphy over Swallow for me mate.

Swallow's body is dodgy and Murphy is looking unreal at the moment

Plus, Swallow has the early bye

Personally I feel like you've missed the boat on MM. He's already risen 75k this week alone and now you'll be paying for a bloke that is priced at roughly a 92 average when recent history says he might only push a 100 average and miss the top 10 mids.

Feels a bit like the David Zaharakis situation last year. He was priced at 75 and started the season with 125, 126, 112 and 112. Everyone scrambled to get him in and he ended up averaging 88.5 for the rest of the season. Now obviously Zaha was never elite or had the track record which Murphy does, but you have to ask yourself what do you think he'll average from this point onwards as his scores so far are now irrelevant to you.

Not sure about Swallow either. He will score well and make a bit of cash but you're just going to have to use another trade to get him out later on. Could you use DPP to sub a rookie into your midfield and bring in a premo defender or forward who looks to be top 6?

Still deciding what to do with O'Meara I am giving him another week. Hawks were terrible yesterday and will probably get a rocket this week similar to Suns last week and may improve. Has a B/e of 41  which will still make some cash.

If he fails again will look at my options next week,

Had to deal with Gawn in AF.

vickers willis - newman
gawn - kruze

SC

vickers willis - newman
omeara - murphy

DT

vickers willis - newman

second trade might look to try take your advice adamant, or yours Ringo.. although murphy and swallow haven't risen much in this game yet

Thanks for advice all, few years out of the game, the rust it be thick :)

Ringo

Just a concern with Swallow he sat out the end of the game yesterday with hamstring tightness, Light Bulbs going off. Was thinking O'Meara to Swallow myself for cash. Swallow has only played the 2 games. If Swallow gets 86 he is predicted to rise 57k. Just to give you some of the pros for Swallow against the con.

would neal-bullen be a good option for him? Is priced at 377k and has a be of -14 so will make a bit of cash over the coming weeks??

Would you guys go murphy or oliver? Obviously Oliver leaves me ~$65k more.

I think you've def missed the boat on both however if I was going to choose it would be murphy (class) over the potential breakout...

When do teams start putting more work into Murphy? Has looked fantastic but I'd be mindful of this.

It would probably be only teams who are worried about Carlton beating them :P There is generally less tagging in the AFL as a whole these days because players are required to be in defensive zones rather than following a particular player around.

Really annoyed that I didnt end up doing Omeara to Oliver. Still reckon I'll take a punt on Oliver though. If it doesn't work then he will still make money.
