Exactly right. Ever think that they might have been filling the two SC friendly backman slots at Carlton? The same role that Enright and Kelly played for Geelong in 2015, Enright and Bartel in 2016... and who in 2017? Tuohy and I would guess Thurlow. Geelong-mad brother seems pretty sure of it too.

My point is you can't say he is in a better team so he will score better now. The scoring opportunity was there at the Blues as you can see with Doc and Simmo being one and two of the guys currently listed in defense. The Cats could use him in a different role to what the Blues did, but you can't compare him to any of the guys you named. Just because you play the same role it doesn't mean you will get the same production.

Simmo and Doc are far better players then Zach. Simmo is an out and out gun and Doc is developing into one of the best players at his position in the league. Enright is arguably the best HBF to have ever played the game, Bartel is a Brownlow medalist and Kelly was a key cog in a dynasty at the Cats.

It's not a knock on Tuohy, I loved him when he was at Carlton but you're comparing different guys with different skill sets.

Geelong love Jed Bews and will be looking to develop him into that small defender stopper type player. Tuohy won't be an Enright, but then again who ever will....!
Tuohy is there to play the rebounding defender role along with Thurlow and to a lesser extent Mackie.

Didn't they played Bews as a small forward the other week because they need to find a new spot for him?
