Just finished reading "Working Class Boy" Jimmy Barnes' autobiographical account of childhood and growing up before making it with Cold Chisel.
Great read. He had it rough. That he made it to adulthood was an achievement in itself.
Either that or he is your typical South Australian boy... full of shower. 8)
Just joking... though I feel some stories were embellished a tad for the reader.

Finished reading Lion today.
Saroo Brierley's story about becoming lost as a small child after boarding a train in his home village and finding his back home 26 years later after being adopted by a Tasmanian couple and using his memory of landmarks and Google Earth to reunite with his Indian family.
Amazing story and can't wait to see the movie now.

Apart from reading comics, haven't read a book in a little while, started The Dark Tower this week in advance of the movie coming out so hopefully I stick with it!

Same, I have a ton (like 15-20) books there I've bought (mostly second hand fortunately) but I just don't have the enthusiasm and passion to read any :/

Got through the zombie survival guide for the umpteenth time (used to read it almost every Thursday arvo in class because I cbf changing my schoolbag book and they made us read) and half a dozen short stories in the Mammoth Book of Cthulhu which is pretty great, some are spud stories but others are really really good, so I'd recommend it.

You like horror hey?  Should check out the subreddit called nosleep, I have spent hours trolling through some amazing stories by some really good writers.  Way better than anything in books or movies to be honest.  Definitely worth checking out, some cracking stories.
