Jakarta Dragons claim WXVW Season 1 Flag

The Dragons travelled to Bogota to play the undefeated Margays after just scraping in to the Top 2 after a percentage boosting win over Rome in the final week of Home & Away matches.

Captain Karen Paxman got the side off to a nice start with 174 (doubled), with late draft pick Dana Hooker contributing 72 points in the same game.

Young gun Nicola Barr was solid with 55 points, but Ellie Blackburn stole the show with a WXVW record, an unbelievable 124 points, including 27 touches and a goal to ice the game.

Jakarta held off a fast finishing Bogota to become the very first WXVW with a comfortable margin of 92 points.

Unsurprisingly, Ellie Blackburn's incredible 124 points meant that she was Player of the Match, and deservedly so!

Congratulations to the entire Dragons squad, where 26/27 players featured for their respective AFLW clubs throughout the season.
