Anyone for Giles in perfect 9 haha

Massive game by the big fella after Lycett went down early, feel kind of bad since I spent all day bagging him out  :-X

Rusty00

I didn't realise how close the Eagles were to overtaking the Crows on the ladder!

Those 3 goals helped the Crows stay above them.

Gigantor

So after all the early season doom and gloom West Coast finish the year half a game behind last year!

Does anyone else think the week off might not be the best for West Coast?

They've certainly got momentum at the moment. Will be interesting to see how the week off affects different teams

and just going on with my previous comment... this is where the week off before finals could really mess with teams form

hard to tell if it'll affect em but I guess we just gotta wait and see

affect? effect? I dunno :P
I'm pretty sure it's effect.

A whole season of work pretty much gone in one night. Well done to the Eagles, the 29 point loss flattered us in the end.

When Sauce gets absolutely dominated by Jon Giles, I fear something is wrong. As we've seen in previous years, ruckmen can fall off pretty quickly. He just looked appalling all night, couldn't jump and could barely make a contest. We had so many passengers all night and it's clear that without Sloane, our midfield is awful. Thommo is finished and can't do anything other than compete at stoppages. If only we had a certain someone still ::) We need to target one or two gun midfielders this year, our backline and forward line are set but our midfield is second rate at the moment.

Sauce mustn't be fit, there's no other explanation for what happened. How stupid do the people who said we're better without Dangerfield look now! Our midfield had zero class or firepower last night, yes Sloane out was massive but that's no excuse for lack of effort and pressure.

Thommo has been a great player for the club, but he's been finished for about 12 months now - is just that couple of steps too slow and in today's game that costs you, especially when he has awful disposal. CEY or Grigg would be just as good in that role next season.

Hopefully we can still salvage something from the finals series, but this was as good of a chance for a top 2 finish as you could ever hope to have.

His ankle mustn't be right still and we aren't going to play O'Brien in the finals unless we have to, I hope the week off helps him.

Exactly, wish we could make the hard calls like North, as much as it would hurt Thommo and the players, we need to look forward, he's just a liability at the moment.

I'm just praying for a North win tonight, I'll take 4th place at the moment.
