One stays as D7, the other gets traded out for Docherty.
Defence will be: Shaw, Docherty, Simpson, Rance, Laird, McVeigh (?, Brand)

Ruggles- last 5 scores...81, 71, 91, 53, 86 (64.9 season ave) ... $344,100... to play: Adel, WB, Ess, Rich, Bris, Melb
Collins- last 5 scores 39, 59, 126, 59, 58 (71.4 season ave)... $322,100... to play: GC, Syd, WCE, Adel, GWS, WB

Money isn't really an issue but perhaps the $22k could be handy later on. Leaning towards keeping Ruggles with 4 70+ scores in last 5 rounds. From what I've seen his spot in the team looks safe as is Collins' IMO. I've also been thinking that some of Collins' future match ups may see him with his hands full and a negating role could see him struggling for points.
Sound right? Should I keep Ruggles and trade Collins?
Hoping it doesn't matter and I won't need cover but just in case let me know what you think.

50/50 call, but I reckon I would keep Ruggles just because he doesn't seem put in as many low scores as what Collins can

That being said Collins has the bigger ceiling, and Freo will play him out all year so his JS is rock solid

Flip a coin?

Ruggles seems a bit more consistent of late and they have a much kinder draw

Ruggles, has the lower ceiling, but general week-to-week scores are better

This, plus Ruggles has been a first choice in the Geelong side all year. Collins had to work his way into the Freo side.

Thanks ^^^ looks like Ruggles stays and Collins has done his job.

With McVeigh out this week, I'm going to have to play whoever I end up keeping earlier than I thought... Hopefully it's just this week... I've got no idea as to the length of time McVeigh is out with his groin.
As Collins is needed every week and has better job security I'm flip flopping back to him. Think Ruggles will out score him but a bad game could see him dumped... Ruggles is named on the bench again, not instilling as much confidence long term... even though he's played 12 of 14 since debuting in R3.
Collins is also the safer option in that more people have him as their main defensive cover.

Had trouble with this one.
