Although i haven't got all rookies off my field last week i decided to trade Wines > Pendles - Wines has been hopeless this year, he was going to get upgraded at some stage anyway, in saying that i also didn't want to lose heaps of cash from him, in particular when his pumping out 60's & 70's like he has.

So far the the trade has paid off, Pendles scored 118 & Wines scored 61, i also see Pendles as a great Capt option moving forward & no doubt in the top 5 Mids come season end. (Up to you if you chose to do correction trades now or once your team is completed)

Yeah Wines has really dropped of this year, remember those full body cramps  ;) :-X
Dunno what is going on with him but i was really considering him before round1.
Yeah I was tossing up between Wines and Shiel pre round 1 but decided on Shiel..No idea what's up with Wines, so far he has been bitterly disappointing this season..

I was in the same boat, but unfortunately I picked Wines. All signs were pointing to a big season but frankly, he's got too big. You see him in games and he wins the contested ball but gets no outside ball. It's amazing to see thatViney has become such a better player and they were compared a lot during their first season or two.
I think that the port fitness staff have a lot to answer for

Great advice, thinking I'll hold trades and bank cash till the byes.

Don't know whether I would call Libba to Gray a luxary trade. Its almost an upgrade given Libba started as a mid-pricer. Made some money and scored some points but doesnt look like he will be a genuine premium this year. Whereas Gray has shown he is a genuine top 8 mid when hes fit and firing.

More than happy to do the trade of Libba to Gray to try and gain some points and also save a lot of cash in the future given how cheap Gray is atm

Yeah his a complete dud this year, my options at the start were out of him or Cripps, thought Wines would do well due to previous experience & potential etc. Oh well his gone now, lost around $25K but corrected the trade & now have Pendles, all good.

I'm holding him till his bye in hope he'll turn it around. He had a really good patch when Gray went 74, 51 then was out for three week so uit his disposal efficiency was horrible, floating around the 50% mark.
last two weeks have been horrible though
