Early contender for game of the year. Forget some of the questionable umpiring and appreciate that we saw arguably the best game so far this year from two good teams.

Theres no neutral unbiased independent advisors when the Hawks are involved  :P
Exactly. It's one of the enjoyable aspects after another Hawks win is seeing everyone try to justify how the umpires won it for us ::)

Then again it's always the same people who whinge about the umpires every week whether it's the Hawks or their own team playing ;)
Now you guys know what it was like to Brisbane supporter after our 3 peat.   ;) ;)  You can not deny however that you were given the rub of the green in the Saints game with those 2 not 15 metres calls causing turnovers and goals despite evidence showing both 15 metres.  This is my point that hawks seem to be on the better end of 50/50 calls - Your last goal for in the back could have been 50/50 as well as he was falling forward. Know I really question decisions against Lions at times but try to be fair when looking at other games. IMO Matthew Nicholls is the most inconsistent umpire in the AFL.

Anyway was a great game and great advertisement as how often do we see both teams topping the ton and reasonably accurate goal kicking.

Haven't watched it since last night, but my first instinct was that it shouldn't have been HTB.

Free against Tex was unlucky, as was the non-paid mark for Lynch.

And reckon there were at least 5 non-paid free kicks that should've gone to the Hawks in the last 10 minutes.

If Tex wasn't such a shower kick for goal, we wouldn't be having this discussion ;)

Because you two present no bias on the issue either  ::)

Decisions and non-decisions have significantly impacted the result of three Hawthorn games in a row, statistically it should go the other way occasionally.
Of course I'm biased, but I don't come on here and whinge about every single umpiring decision that I think goes against the Hawks (or any team I hate) ;)
