That Chinese guy got injured recently, torn ACL, so he's gone for the year. Shame, would have been interesting to see.

THE addition of Matt White to the club’s injury list has Port Adelaide’s injury stocks higher ahead of its big Showdown XL clash against the Adelaide Crows.

Matt White won’t play the Power’s crosstown rival, and is a chance to miss at least a month in recovery from a right pectoral injury.

The 28-year-old will undergo scans to assess the extent of the injury, which at worst could keep him out of action for 12 weeks.

“We won’t know what the damage is until the scans come through, because the symptoms and pain levels often present similarly whether its minor or serious,” Power high performance manager Darren Burgess told portadeladiefc.com.au.

“I’d expect him to miss a few games at least, unfortunately for Whitey it’s come at the start of the new season.”

Fortunately Port Adelaide reported no further injuries from its 33-point win over St Kilda or its 25-point loss to Norwood in Round 1.

Will Snelling (virus) and Riley Bonner (hamstring) will return for the Magpies against the Crows in Sunday’s SANFL ‘Showdown’ in Mannum.

Billy Frampton and Tom Clurey (foot), Dan Houston (hip/groin) and Nathan Krakouer (jaw) are now less than a month from full recovery

ATT White has been placed on Port Adelaide’s long-term injury list.

White underwent surgery after suffering a pectoral tear in the second term of the Power’s clash with St Kilda in Round 1, and is expected to remain sidelined for some time.

At this stage the club has not nominated a replacement player from the rookie list to fill his position.

Jay Schulz is a chance to hit the field this Friday after being withdrawn late from the Power’s Showdown side.

The key forward will be assessed later on in the week with an ongoing back injury, and may be available for selection pending fitness testing.

Meanwhile the club is taking a no-risk approach to vice-captain Hamish Hartlett â€" he’s unlikely to play in this weekend’s clash with Essendon as he recovers from hamstring tightness.

Chad Wingard pulled up well from Showdown XL, and is expected to train on Wednesday ready to face the Bombers on Friday night.

Billy Frampton, Tom Clurey and Dan Houston will shortly begin the final stages of their rehabilitation with a view to returning in Round 5 of the SANFL season against Central District.

HAMISH HARTLETT and Chad Wingard will be a chance to return against the GWS Giants if they pass a fitness test this week.

The pair has missed games following in-match hamstring injuries, but will be pushing hard to pass an assessment at the Power’s main training session on Wednesday.

Nathan Krakouer, Billy Frampton and Tom Clurey are also expected to be cleared for Port Adelaide’s next SANFL game in a fortnight.

Krakouer, now out of a club-imposed ban following an off-field incident, is free to train with the main playing group and return to SANFL football.

“Hartlett and Wingard will train this week, if they get through Wednesday they’ll play,” Port Adelaide head of high performance Darren Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au.

“Krak, Billy and Clurey would have played for the Magpies had it not been a bye week, so they’ll be back next weekend.”

Jay Schulz will also be assessed at training, but remains uncertain for Sunday’s game against the Giants.

Aidyn Johnson suffered a hamstring injury against North Adelaide in the SANFL and will undergo scans.
