Constructive advice please

My thoughgts:
Def is not worth spending cash on. last year was a joke across the board so I'm not that keen on spending much here
mid: pump it up here are the points
rucks: Last year was a disappointment when I did my set and forget so I'm looking at a make money and trade in provens for the season. an interesting comment I heard with goldy was that over the season break all teams will be studying how to beat him so its a good point as to why not to spend so much $$$ on him
fwd: like the def last year I spent the money and they disappointed... ill go cheap and trade up to those on the rise or proven for the season.

constructive advice please. If you think a player shouldn't be touched offer an alternative

I only see 9-10 premiums here. you will be wasting trades upgrading which includes most of your backline.

DEF: Paparone and Broadbent have shown no signs of average 90+.

MID: O'Meara is unlikely to play round 1, so downgrade him to a rookie as there should be plenty available.

RUC: Risky lineup, I think 1 of those should suffice alongside a reliable premium.

FOR: DIXON NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO There's more chance of me playing in the AFL than Dixon playing 22 games!!

There are just not enough premiums in the side. With this lineup, it will be impossible to trade up to a fully premium team.

I'd downgrade O'Meara and Parapone to rookies, which gives you enough money to upgrade Broadbent, Dixon to premiums, and maybe Sincalir/Lobbe/Sidebum/Selwood (not fit at the moment) to a super premium.

Agree with comments made here. Most teams will be looking at a minimum of 13+ Premiums in their initial teams to cut down on trade. with 13 Premiums you you would need 9 additionals to come in to complete team.  So with most being upgrade and downgrades and in some cases need double downgrades it is safe to assume that 20 trades minimum would be required which leaves  8/10 for injury form loss.

So if your team has only 10 keepers you will be looking at 26 trades just to complete team leaving very minimal for injuries etc,

Paparone had a break out year last year and can not see much more improvement and Broadbent is similar would downgrade one to a rookie Collins, Hartley, Broad and Tucker all may play Rd 1 and upgrade the other to Laird, Simpson, Rance or Birchall.

With O'Meara not playing Rd 1 I would downgrade him to a rookie and then Sinclair/Lobbe to a premium ruck. If you do not have enough cash to go Sinclair/Lobbe to Martin, Goldstein, Jacobs or Gawn consider downgrading Dixon to Wells.  Wells will score a lot better than Dixon but is injury prone but if you get a decent price rise then you have gained.

defence needs to be upgraded. broad is 85 av at best. rich maybe 80-90 av at best. paparone might not back it up this year.

mids: selwood may not line up rd1 same with wines and o'meara.

rucks: can't have sinclair and lobbe. to risky might both flop.

fwds: dixon needs to be upgraded or downgraded will not average 100 or close to it IMO

with some tweaking will be a good side
