Having trouble picking one of these 2 promising rookies. Obviously both would be ideal, but if you were to choose 1 of them (Smith this week vs. Petracca next week), who would it be?

GoLions

I'd take Smith this week. Petracca could get rested, injured, play shower and get dropped, who knows.

I don't know why you'd only get one though?

Have to get Smith this week and Petracca next week...who knows when the next solid rook will come through.

If I could only pick one it be Petracca by a mile.

If he hadn't broken his toe he would have played round 1 i suspect.
He is a super high draft pick and part of their long term future plans vs. a mature aged recruit who has got a spot in the team due to injuries to others. Plus Pet has DPP.

My 2 cents worth.

pretty much as the post above. If i had to only pick one it would be Racca, that DPP is enough of a reason but Racca is a much better player.

however you basically must get both even if it means trading a injured premo to one of them. I cant see many good targets on the horizon so do what you need to get both.

Big Mac

Petracca's JS isn't really that great

We are playing so many small forwards at the moment it's actually ridiculous - Kennedy, Harmes, Garlett, Kent and Petracca all got a gig last week. The non-bias side of me would say to pick Smith, who like GL said will play a 3rd game, whereas Petracca is a little more uncertain

For God's sake though man, pick up both! Both look like real solid players and should each make $200k at least. If you have to have a few hundred k sit in the bank for a bit, so be it

Asparagus

Surely they will want to get games into him though?
I see bennedy getting dropped before Racca.
He is your future.
He looked ok last week for a 1st game and still scored mid to high 60's form memory.
The pies have 15-16 players the size/shape/build of Smith. That's half our problem  >:( >:(

Think that last comment hit the nail on the head.
Should have clarified, I currently have 398k in the bank from capitalising on Ruggles and recent rookies... So I'm set for cash which is why I feel like I'll get frustrated doing using so many trades and not improving my team immediately as much as I would be if I got Smith and then had the cash to do 3 consecutive upgrades!!

But seems like general consensus is that they are both must have regardless of how much cash I have sitting there not helping my team...yet?

Ringo

Get Smith who is on the boil this week and Petracca next week = You could do one down one up both weeks if you want to improve team.

Petracca chance to be their at end of season and be M9,F7.   Smith best value on offer.   Get both and delay upgrading one week.
