Mills looking very good in Q1. Playing off HBF, unlikely to play this role in the season so really it is hard to judge how he will go.
Got a lot of class about him though and expecting him to play R1.

Trengrove & Howard playing Ruck, so I feel we are seeing what the chop out for Lobbe will be during the season. Trengrove has held his own pretty well.

JPK looking good

Bonner hasn't had much to do yet, while Sydney have had all the possession most of it has been in the back half or Midfield.

Great kick from Ah Chee there.
And Dougal Howard looks half decent too.

He's been training off half-back during pre-season so every indication is he will be playing there.

And with the retirement of Shaw and Jetta going to West Coast there is a position there.

He is looking very good.

Towers has also been impressive.

Luke Parker has been racking up the pill, looking good in the warm up heading into the season. Hasn't been the most efficient but I can't see him scoring less then last year.

Looking at the Swans outs from last year we have

Shaw
Goodes
Pyke
Jetta
Bird

Bird was on the fringe and Sinclair replaces Pyke but the other 3 spots are open.

It will be interesting to see if they play Talia/Grundy/Richards/Laidler/Rampe considering Rampe and Laidler can play third tall. If not Mills is making a push for the Shaw spot today. McGlynn missed a bit of footy last year through injury but he could come into the midfield rotation and Towers is making a push for the Goodes spot.

I think its gonna get real wet soon  :o

Don't think I've ever seen that much black on a BOM radar before!

Mat0369

Heeney also has a knee injury by the look of it. Not sure how serious but he went off and had the docs check it last quarter. Is in the rooms now

You need to get to Qld then  ;) ;)

Swans also reporting Heeneys is structurally sound and maybe only jarring.

From what i have read coming out of Sydney over the past month I reckon Mills is a lock to play rd1 off half back

I wont be starting him myself because i just cant bring myself to spend over 200k on a rookie, but he should be a good pick for those who do

Mat0369

There was one passage of play where Mills attacked the ball out of the backline, streamed through and delivered a 40 meter pass that hit Heeney on the chest. Sydney kicked a goal from the chain of events. The face he was able to use it so well under pressure makes me think he will be a decent SC pick regardless. He should be able to score decently off limited touches

I'd just find the extra cash or downgrade a mid pricer to bring Mills in RD.

He is nearly a lock to play from round one. Conservatively if he averages 75 he will get to around 360k by the byes and make 150k.

I have him at M7 at this stage and looks a decent pick.

From a selfish WXV perspective i'm not too worried about Heeney. As soon as he had the niggle he was always going to be taken off.

Also from a WXV perspective happy too see Tippett be the main ruck with Sinclair as his backup.
