Been without internet for the past few weeks, finally had a chance to update my team post Bombers info.



Have 16 k remaining. Reckon I'm sitting on 14 keepers (some quality ones at that) + Libba so pretty content.

Defence: Bit worried about McVeigh's injury so have dropped him to Yeo for now. Reckon Brown and Hartley will play often and have heard good things about Byrne. Hoping to get away with the 4 - 4 structure.

Midfield: Cooled off on Crouch lately and upgraded him to Lewis, started him last year and worked a treat, Hawks will destroy enough teams to achieve a similar output. Reckon I could be starting with 5 110+ mids here.

Rucks: Same as earlier.

Forwards: Same as earlier - switched to Conca as the battle of the 250k forwards continue, Conca will be keen to bounce back after a frustrating year and has shown to be a capable scorer.

Any thoughts?

Defenders - structure is same as mine, I like the 4-4 structure with fallen premo Jimmy and good value in Duryea,Smith and Yeo, I don't ever spend much on my backline. Should be able to get 2 alright scoring rooks out of M.Brown,M.Adams,C.Byrne,M.Hartley,J.Wagner,Broad .. hopefully

Mids - Very good selections - haven't seen Pendles in many teams, always scores well you know what you get with him. Rocky,Ablett,Titch no brainers for me. Lewis another proven scorer, cant really go wrong with him either. Libba and Crouch will be in many teams.

Rucks - You have 1 of Martin/Goldy which is a must imo, not a big fan of Tippett, seems to be very up and down depending on his role in the team. Tippett scored really well towards the end of the year, if he can continue that with the addition of Sinclair he could be a pretty good pick especially with DPP F/R. Go with your gut if you think he's in for a big one.

Forwards - looking pretty good, quite a few bargains to be had in the forward line this year, if anything im surprised you don't have Bird, think he can go 80+ easy and is good value at 340?. Not sure about Conca, see what happens pre season, if he makes it into the best 22, I could look at putting him in myself  :)

Rooks - no need to comment on rooks until closer to round 1.

All in all I think this is a very good team imo.

Crouch still very much in the picture but having played just 25 games in 3 years is a worry but at his will likely be worth it.
Hoping for 85 odd from Tippett but think he's capable of 90+, if he does enough so I can eventually move him to the forward line and have Martin/Goldy + Tippett cover I'll be very happy.
Bird very much in the equation still.

Happy with the look of this backline; Bartel and Simpson are safe as houses and believe Yeo/Duryea can reach 85+. Plenty of scoring power through the mids, Adams was a great get last year and think he has the ability to continue as he ended the season (though he will likely be the first downgraded if I need the cash). The other four are genuinely capable of 110+ averages which is exciting. Vanilla forwards and rucks but are so for a reason. Tippett on top of my watchlist still.
I know this team will likely require a downgrade to beef up the rooks but nice to have 14 genuine keepers + Libba at this stage.
