The last team I posted here has 13 keepers plus Libba, Crouch and Bird (and Leuey as ruck cover).

Just attempted a team with just GnR (apart from Leuey as ruck cover). I came up with 14 keepers.

McVeigh, Bartel, Smith, Bonner, Hibberd, Brown (Byrne, Hartley)

Fyfe, Pendles, Ablett, Selwood, Rockliff, Wines, Freeman, Cuningham (Keays, Sumner, Morabito)

Goldstein, Martin (Read)

Martin, Barlow, Franklin, Leuey, Kerridge, Petracca (Eades, Adams)

But do I run with the 13 keeper team for a chance of one or two of Libba/Crouch/Bird becoming keepers?
I suppose NAB cup will be the big decider, if it looks like Libba, Crouch and Bird are playing well in the midfield, I may choose team 1. In the end it will probably be a combination of both.

If going guns and roses and as you are keeping Leuey I would be dropping Wines back and bringing in another premo defender. It is the mid premos who make cash quickly.  Not commenting on them at all as we do not way which will play round 1.

Need to watch Fyfe with his back injury.

Hey everyone, I am back! The team has changed a lot since January 17th.

D: Laird, Simpson, Bartel, Sheridan, Bonner, Broad (Brown, Collins)

Content with my first three choices. Sheridan is a make or break pick but he is in my team for now. I have a decent idea about def rookies, but they are far from locked in.

M: Fyfe, Pendles, Ablett, Rockliff, Parker, Libba, Crowley, Mathieson (Freeman, Polkinghorne, MacPherson)

The first four are absolute locks. Parker a nice POD in my opinion (about 8% ownership). Libba locked. I prefer Crowley over Mills. Once again, I have a bit of knowledge regarding rookies but very susceptible to change.

R: Goldstein, Martin (Cox)

I have built my team around these two. Locked and loaded. Grimley cover, Cox a floating donut with a chance at getting games.

F: Martin, Barlow, Merrett, McCarthy, Kerridge, Grimley (Petracca, McDonald-Tipungwuti)

Martin and Barlow will be in most teams. Merrett quite a conservative POD pick in my opinion. McCarthy and Kerridge locked. Petracca pending. Might need to upgrade Tippa.

Really nice team. As a bomber though how do you not have Hartley down back?

Bonner out for Hartley down back looks pretty logical to me.

I don't mind the Sheridan pick. His scores at the back end of last season and NAB are good enough to be a keeper defender. Not in my side as I only have 3 keepers in defense but one I am now keeping an eye on.

You have the same M1-M6 that I currently have. Rookies I guess are placeholders for now.

Rucks get a tick. I actually think Cox will play early in the season. Depends what structure Buckley wants. If they go with Cloke, Moore and the resting ruck only up forward he probably won't but if they pick an extra tall than he is ahead of White I would have thought.

Zach Merrett is obviously a risky pick. Will teams start to try and shut him down this year? IMO is clearly our 2nd best player behind Goddard and probably goes ahead of him at the end of the year. Could go 100+ if not shut down by the opposition.

The rest of the forward line is solid. no Wells? Can you somehow get him in for tippa? You would need to find 65k from somewhere to do that though.

Thanks guys! I definitely like Hartley for job security, over Bonner, Broad and Collins, I just thought they all played more SC-friendly roles and have more scoring potential. I suppose you're right though, if all three of them line up round one then two of them don't get selected the week after, my cash generation will be instantly halted. I'll slot him in there for Bonner.

I like the Tippa to Wells suggestion a lot, a potential keeper, low risk at his price. I will fiddle around and if I can do it without hurting my structures too much, I probably will. But why are so many keen on Wells? What has he shown this pre-season that suggests he could be a good pick?

I like the structure and the majority of the picks. We have 23/30 the same.

Broad is unlikely to play round 1 and obviously Mathieson is out with his broken cheekbone. Are there two rookies you can bring in for those guys that will either play round 1 or provide a loophole option that won't hurt your structure?

I'm not sure, no cash and therefore no flexibility. We'll see what pops up prior to round one. I get a feeling we are going to have to cram expensive rookies into our team, so I have changed things around a bit. Any thoughts on this team?

Backs are strong but if you need some cash  Hurn>Harwood
Going without libba and crouch seems like wasting undervalued players.   Strong rucks and forwards.

Decided to trade Simpson and Oliver to Sheridan and Libba. Missing out on Libba was making me nervous, and Oliver might not be the most reliable rookie selection. Best case scenario, Libba averages 105-110, Sheridan 90-95 and I keep both. Worst case scenario, they both fail, one up one down.

If you were interested you could trade Sheridan down to Dea, then trade Menadue up to B Crouch. Reckon you would improve both in points and cash generation that way. Cheers and best of luck mate.     ;)

Thanks mate! Hoping that Sheridan will be a keeper though, so I'll hold onto him.
