Koop

2016 is the comeback of the Koop to Fantasy. Have been quietly monitoring various outlets over the summer and put together a draft team for AF. Feedback appreciated, looking to probably downgrade one of De Goey/Kerridge/Wells and shore up the backline though.

DEF: H.Shaw / M.Suckling (FWD) / T.Sheridan / M.Brown (FWD) / J.Cowan / R.Harwood (M.Hibberd (MID) / M.Hartley)

MID: G.Ablett / T.Rockliff / T.Mitchell / L.Neale / C.Ward / T.Liberatore / J.Simpkin / C.Mills (T.Phillips (FWD) / J.Jansen)

RUC: M.Blicavs (MID) / M.Lobbe (D.Currie / M.Cox (FWD))

FWD: M.Barlow (MID) / T.Greene (MID) / S.Gray (MID) / J. De Goey (MID) / S.Kerridge (MID) / D.Wells (MID) (A.McDonald-Tipungwuti (DEF) / N.Kommer)

Cash left - 7'000

Also if anyone has any leagues they need someone to fill in for hit me up. :)

rweeks

Blicavs will drop this year due to all the ruckman playing for Geelong. Lobbe looked terrible around the ground. Need S.Martin or Goldy. Z.Smith and C.Sinclair offer the best for cheap ruckman or take a huge punt on Leuenberger. That is a huge midfield. Love the Ward pick (I had him last year)

7/10

Rich has the potential to explode, but with all our injuries he's getting the tag if teams choose to use it. So I'm staying away, but he could definitely go 80+.

Shouldve listened haha. Last week was poor but Im thinking I'll keep the faith.

Team after Rd1 with a few changes from what I had originally in the pre-lockout frenzy.

DEF: M.Suckling // D.Rich // J.Harrbrow // J.Lonergan // P.Seedsman // M.Dea (A.McDonald-Tipungwuti // C.Cameron)

MID: G.Ablett // T.Rockliff // T.Mitchell // L.Neale // C.Ward // R.Bastinac // C.Mills // G.Hewett (R.Davis // J.Gresham)

RUC: T.Goldstein // M.Leuenberger (D.Currie // S.Frost)

FWD: M.Barlow // A.Hall // S.Gray // D.Wells // B.Kennedy // M.Adams (L.McCarthy // C.Menadue)

A few issues with it. Rockliff and Rich both doubtful for this week. Bastinac not going as well as I'd like for what I paid. Leuenberger and Barlow down on output as well.

Was thinking the following

T.Rockliff >> J.Lewis
R.Bastinac >> D.Parish

Leaves me with 70k in the kitty. Also means that if Rich fails to play I can swap Adams to the backs and play Menadue. However will he bounce back when fit? Will give Barlow 1 more week then probably get on the Z.Merrett train.

Team is in an absolute shambles, been chasing points which has left me with an extremely weak backline which hurts to even type.

DEF: D. Rich // P.Seedsman // J.Lonergan // C.Mills // M.Dea // M.Adams (J.Wagner // C.Cameron)

MID: Z.Merrett // L.Neale // D.Zaharakis // T.Mitchell / G.Ablett // J.Selwood // S.Ross // J.Viney (J. Gresham // L.Sumner)

RUC: T.Goldstein // M.Leuenberger (D. Currie // S.Frost)

FWD: A.Hall // M.Barlow // S.Gray // D.Wells // B.Kennedy // L.McCarthy (C.Menadue // A.Tippa)

Cash left: 15k

I mean considering what I have there my overall rank of 5.6k isnt that bad, but theres a shower-ton of issues that need fixing. Can't rely on the mid battery to do half the scoring every week. Current plan for this week looks as follows

C.Menadue -> J.Smith (via Sumner)
C.Cameron -> D.Tucker (or another R15 DEF rook)

This option caters for bye structure and gets capped out rooks out.

129k in bank

Alternatively could do

B.Kennedy -> C.Petracca
C.Menadue -> J.Smith (via Sumner)

134k in bank

or

B.Kennedy -> D.Howard
M.Adams -> J.Kelly

That solves an immediate hole in the backline but also leaves forwards with 2 playing rooks on field, and no Petracca, plus another Essendon player which hurts bye structure.

Also have the issue of no Rocky, I'm aware this week is probably the cheapest we will see him for the season however I can't see a way to justify it. Willl probably have to pick him up later in the season at a premium when I inevitably move Merrett down to the forwards and just suffer in the meantime.

Thoughts?

That defense could be worse, mine last week was: Shaw, Adams, DBJ, Wagner, Dea, Cameron (Ruggles, Hartley) Have Rosa but had to move him into the midfield for the week.

Depends really if youre going for ranking or not and then if going for league win on your opponent for the week.

I mean for the third option im guessing you cant get Shaw and dont like the look of Houli or Simpson? I mean if you feel pretty comfortable in your league position I would be considering bringing in Dougal and Smith for Menadue and Bennedy/Adams/Tippa/Cameron or just sticking with option 1.

If youre aiming for overall I would probably go with the third option and keep the bye structure in mind for your future trades.

Hope that helps a bit.  ;D

Ooooft that is a rough line!

Yeah can't afford Shaw and find Houli too inconsistent. Simpson is an option for sure.

Going for overall, came back too late to FF to enter any leagues of any real importance, miss the Elxam stuff like crazy haha, gotta get back to 1k posts again. Hopefully Dougall gets RUC status at the next lot of DPP's which would help immensely with Leuenberger and Frost. Is Smith worth the premium or is Keays maybe a like for like but a bit cheaper?

Thanks for the help, really appreciate it.  ;D

mate, i reckon with the state ur  back line is in you need to get as much cash as you can, smith has a be of -39 so if he scores around the 100 which he has been and is playing the blues so he should go alrite, the predictor thing says if he get 70 he will put on around 50k so that could come in handy, also have  look at biggs from the dogs down back is going along nicely and a bit cheaper than shaw and co
