G'day Guys.
I know there are a million teams asking for advice on this forum, but would appreciate any advice you can offer on my initial team. I have had some success in years past. I only play Supercoach, and have finished (with a little luck) within the top 200 overall the past three years. Also, wondered what your thoughts are on the AFL Prospectus? I get it every year and think its a great aid. Taking Fantasy Freako's advice with a grain of salt, the stats however, don't lie. Cheers in advance for anyone that can offer their acumen. Dave

First thoughts would be to downgrade Gibbs and take some of that spare change to upgrade one of the Rucks to one of whoever you think will be a Top 2 ruck.

Other than that, looks strong across all lines, maybe lacking one big scoring defender? Boyd/Shaw/McVeigh and such?

Pretty good team, all the best for 2016  ;D

Thanks fanTCfool. I was hoping Gibbs would get back to his 2014 form, but as you suggest, he may not be a keeper and require a trade to be wasted to rectify. I think Grundy might improve again this year, but my other thought was Mumford (injuries) or Jacobs. I had Jacobs and Goldstein last year. Goldstein too expensive to start and am worried about Jacobs Hitouts to advantage with Danger gone? I realise Sloane missed a lot and Crouch should be back to cover this. Thoughts? Not sold on Leunbeurger and his awkward price. Don't think he will be top 5 ruckmen this year?
Option 1: Downgrade Grundy to Leunbeurger & Upgrade Gibbs to Hannebury or Ward?
Option 2: Upgrade Grundy to Mummy & Gibbs to O'Meara (not sure how he is travelling for round 1)?
Option 3: Gibbs to Yeo?
In relation to the defensive line, I think that some of these guys might step up to the top 10 bracket this year. Yeo was another I considered. Should push in to the midfield/wing more this year with key defensive players coming back. Smith unconcussed will be much more consistent and higher scoring. KK and Docherty will have natural improvement and are both classy players. (I am a Carlton supporter mind you, so slightly biased) Whilst Rampe played midfield towards the end of last year and was very impressive. Hoping this roles stays the same.

Ps. Happy to look at your teams if you like and offer any advice I might be able to give. Limited as that may be.

As a fellow Blues fan, I hope Gibbs can return to previous form, but also admit that in a struggling team it is probably unlikely, if you disagree, by all means, keep him.

A good point you make about Sauce Jacobs, hadn't considered the loss of Dangerfield, though I hadn't really considered Sauce either.
If you believe Grundy is set for a good year, hang onto him, but only if you think he won't require a trade at some stage.
Lobbe is another to throw into the mix but he does share a bye with Nic Nat.
Not a big Leuy fan either, between injury and form I am also quite sure he wouldn't be near the Top 5 rucks.

Don't think O'Meara will be fit to start Round 1, and Mummy continues to prove himself as being injury prone, I'd probably stay away there.

Option 3 sounds alright to me, starting a DPP Mid/Def in the Mids can be handy and open up some opportunities to trade in a Mid when trading out a Defender later in the year.

I also have Smith, like many others, thinking that he should bounce back.
Watching Docherty at Blues' games his disposal often worries me, but I suppose if he can manage scores around 90 with a disposal efficiency of 70-80 it can only get better if his kicking especially improves.
Quite a fan of Rampe, not sure if Rhyce Shaw departure will have any impact on him, I'm not the one to ask on that, maybe hunt down a Swans fan opinion there.

All of those should be good selections, though with a little risk involved with each I figured it may have been worth looking at possibly a slightly less risky player with a 'locked in' role.
