"Football operations boss Mark Evans said the details of talent concessions were yet to be finalised, but he imagined that in time the system would operate in a similar fashion to the bidding system in place for northern-based academies."

So this may have effect on future drafts when fully operational.  How many draft picks come from the VFL clubs that have been allocatted, eg in the first round this year Geelong Falcons 3, Murray Bushrangers 2, Northern Knights 2, Gippsland Power 2.

Big benefit for Richmond over everyone else imo. So much good talent comes from here. Saints got themselves stiffed... Everyone from Frankston is stoned off their chops.

"The AFL will meet with South Australian and West Australian clubs regarding the allocating of regions in those states, and is in the process of finalising the allocation of regions in Tasmania."

Be interesting to see who gets a slice of Tassie....

My guess would be St Kilda or Carlton.

St Kilda only have Sandy, as Frankston is useless

and Carlton only have Northern Knights

How about Hawks and North who play some home games at Launceston and Hobart,

Bit overpowering giving Hawks Victoria, NT AND Tassie access...
