Looking at my preliminary team I have 13/8/9 for my byes.
Given how late in the season the byes will be this year do I need to concern myself or wait until r8 to assess my situation.   I dont accept donuts in byes and over the past three years have made up a lot of ground over the byes so I am loath to go in underdone.

By the time the byes actually roll around I'm sure things will look different to 13/8/9

I think I'll spend the first 10 weeks just trying to get my team complete and as good as possible, and then worry about the byes when I need to

yeah, byes will play less of a role in my first team than ever before. maybe just the uber premiums for starters, but so much can happen in all that time

Hope to only need a couple of  premo's by the byes.   So will be able to be selective.    Be interesting to see what people do with trades this year as so many are used to using 8/9 over the bye period.

youve just got to keep track of your premium picks make sure there aren't too many in the same bye round... obviously the rookies will change come rd13-15

With the lateness of the byes this year think the focus will be on when your premiums have the byes.  With the final bye in round 15 you should be close to having the team finalised.  So basically probably need to ensure you have a reasonably even spread of prems across the byes.
So with the byes starting 2 rounds later this year will people conserve trades to use 3 each bye or will they trade to get team in order.

I wouldn't stress about it mate with the byes being later this year there's ample time to reconfigure your by structure, it's not that bad at 13-8-9. Ive gone into seasons with the same numbers and sorted it by the time the byes came around, with them being later this year shouldn't be a problem i wouldn't think.  ;)

Agree with the experts - make sure you have a relatively even spread of super premiums to get you points out of the18 on ground; you want to be minimising trades still, if you can
