Well done Saints , so close for the result we Crows needed but great effort anyway. ;)

We tried :P Much rather see Adelaide make finals haha. Geelong have had their time.

So close mate so close, great effort. Cheers buddy but we have to win one of the next 2. WC very tough may have to come down to the last game against the Cats for us to play finals. We mightn't trouble the good sides but good experience for our youngens.

Hope we give Sydney a little run for their money :P

I think their starting to see the rewards that come from hard work and how it can pay off, there's an element of belief there now where they understand they are good enough if the work rate is there and they seem to be buying into it more as the season goes on which is great as it would be understandable at this point if they were to start to drop off a bit but that's not happening
they are still hungry. Swans better than the Cats I think so it's another test but one I think they will be motivated by rather than
daunted, if you can push them then it's another tick for me, don't have to win but just make it a real contest and hard work for the Swans, that's plenty good enough.

win, lose or draw - that was just awesome. could not have asked for anything more.

great start for Holmesy as well. hope the yanks were watching and now start barracking for the mighty Saints

need sunglasses, future too bright.

great effort boys

Saints going ok mate, way ahead of where I had them before a ball was bounced in anger this year. Don't think the rebuild will take as long as many of the pundits were saying.

don't worry mate, you're not the only one. I had us penciled in for the spoon. certainties I thought. how wrong was I. so happy with the boys

If I was honest I had you down around 17th 18th mate fighting out the spoon but apart from the Dogs the Saints have surprised  the shower out of me. Much better than I gave them credit for and have continued the trend upwards all year. Theres been a couple of hiccup games but that's to be expected really. If I was a Saint supporter i'd be pretty happy no very happy with what i've seen this year.

absolutely mate, I'm okay with the odd hiccup cos I know it's just the beginning our journey and at this stage we're not gonna get everything right, but hopefully our boys learn from our mistakes and in future contests we're able to get it right. really gives us something to look forward to

Interesting from the AFL website earlier today;

"...umpires department has conceded it failed to pay a crucial 50-metre penalty to St Kilda in the dying minutes of the Saints' draw with Geelong on Saturday night.

With just over a minute left on the clock and St Kilda one-point down, a 50-metre penalty should have been awarded to Saint Maverick Weller after Geelong’s Corey Gregson encroached unfairly on the mark.
