With all the carnage this week I find myself with a NicNat induced donut and the need to field a rookie in replacement of Buddy.
Regardless of which trades I do, i have to field Lambert this week.

Midfield: Fyfe, Pendlebury, Dangerfield, Mundy, Selwood, Montagna, JPK, Griffen (Maynard, Glenn, ZERO [fwd link])
Ruck: Goldstein, NicNat (Read [fwd link])
Forward: Gray, Martin, Swan, Bennell, Goddard, Franklin (Lambert, ZERO)

I currently sit with 3 trades and $48,700.

The way I see it I have two options.
1) Franklin --> Gawn (loophole with Read to cover NicNat) and Maynard to a $102,000 rookie.
This option leaves me with 1 trade and $113,800. Which i will use to, depending on price changes, go Griffen to Hannebery.

2) NicNat --> Gawn and Griffen to Hannebery.
This option leaves me with 1 trade and $3,900. This gets me Hannebery a week early and a stronger team and greater chance to advance this week. However, it leaves me with an injured Buddy in the forward line and not much cash to upgrade him if he isn't named next week.

My heart tells me to do option 2 and try and guarantee a win this week. But my head is telling me to keep the cash and look after myself for the final 2 weeks.

HELP PLEASE!!

Franklin to Gawn was popular last week, probably more popular this week.
That gets my vote. Don't care what you do with your second trade.

Having Gawn for the rest of the finals with almost no trades gives you total ruck insurance incase Goldy misses or rests.

You would think NicNat would be back next week and ready to play, and play well for his family. Bless him!

No point worrying about next week if you're not even going to make it there

Option 2 - No Guts No Glory

He cant afford Buddy to Gawn in 1 trade, and at this stage of the year I wouldn't be bothering with downgrades

It's all sideways from here - so as I said above Option 2 for mine

HAHAHAH, I'm a Port supporter, so what would I know!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with option 2.
I plan the following week to send Gawn back to the forward line and bring in Maric for Buddy.
All I need is Maric to score sub-130. Surely.

Why in gods name would you bring in Maric? Has averaged under 80 since Round 10 and only tonned up once since then with 5 scores under 90.

Nic Nat to Gawn I like, and what about Griffen to Rocky/Armo/Ward/Heppell which would give you $485 to spend on your last forward which could possibly net you a Roughy/Boomer/Bartel type and keep Gawn in ruck.

Gawn 105 + Maric 80 + Hanners 115 v Gawn 105 + Rocky 110 + Bartel/Boomer/Roughy 95-100

Just my way of thinking, but of course it's upto you! Just think that Maric has really slowed and could become a liability soon enough.

I'm not 100% getting Maric. TMitch is also around the price depending on his score this week.
I like Hannebery's draw home and as for Maric he has Collingwood and Essendon to finish the year. Two sides with not a whole heap of ruck depth with the added hope that Hampson stays out of the side.

Is Buddy in doubt next week?

Yep, and every chance he doesn't get up for it

Their run home is super soft. He could miss 2 more even!

Back injury is bad news...who knows what it will be like...he probably doesn't even know himself.
I was happy to keep him a week but that was it.
If there is no definitive prognosis they are gone from my team...why I offloaded Simmo earlier in the year, that turned out to be only 2 weeks but my philosophy is you can't afford to be caught out by keeping someone who might be dead weight... move forwards or fall behind.
