How did he get 29 touches? If he keeps that role I'll be getting him in hahahha

Slashers

Last week I even saw him hit the ball at a couple of centre bounces, like a JPK or a Bont.

North Melbournes Finest

Does he need to be traded out now? Or does anyone know how long these things typically take to recover (Someone who doesn't know much about melanoma's and cancer asking here). Not trying to sound unsympathetic or anything, am just wondering if everyone thinks he needs to be traded?

To be honest I'm baffled how this has kept him out. I mean a whack to the mouth would open up the wound and prolong the healing process but it's not as if having a few stitches in your lip is debilitating in a football way, maybe eating and drinking. I traded him when it was best 22 to avoid a donut but seeing its best 18 now you might as well hold he should play next week I would think.

You don't know how much of the lip had to be removed. I've heard some horror stories!

Apparently its a fairly major cut he has, must be if they are expecting him to be out a few weeks.

They usually cut out plenty of flesh/skin around these things just to make sure to get it all so a lesion the size of a tack may require an area the size of a 50 cent coin taken out, depending on the type/aggression of the skin cancer in question, malignant Melanoma's are pretty serious if that's what he had. btw i am not a doctor  :P :-X ;D

It's been said elsewhere, but 3 weeks they reckon for the stitches to heal and swelling to go down. In saying that it's certainly not unheard of for players to come back before things like this are fully healed (although something like a broken finger seems the best comparison I can think of)

great news for fantasy but even better news as a person. Never like to see something like this happen, especially to someone who has put in soo much effort to prevent it.

Has he eaten solids yet? That would be the worry for me.

Once you are comfortable eating solids after getting stitches around the mouth then he will be fine
