I know defenders suck this season, but I need to upgrade Geary I think.  I would have rathered upgrade Lumumba, but Geary is out so he's on the chopping block this week.

Money isn't an issue as I can get in any defender, my issue is I don't know which one, so this is where you guys come in. Remember, if you choose other please post in this thread and tell me which player you are referring to.  Cheers!

Yeo and Picken seem to be the inform players at the moment. If money isn't an issue and you can wait another week I would consider Hodge. Having Hodge in my team would make me a bit more confident heading into a matchup as opposed to those other options.

I already have Hodge, that's why I didn't mention him.  I also have Birchall and Newnes as my "premiums".

It's a tough one, a couple of times I've looked at defender upgrades and then given up as I have no idea who to get.

If you've already got Hodge and Birchall maybe steer clear of another Rd.11 bye player. I'd probably go Shaw, maybe doesn't have as high a ceiling as some of the others but is fairly consistent with less chance of a rest (Enright) or role change (Yeo)

Yeah, it is tough, but I do kinda need someone back there, which is why I've finally decided to bring another defender in.  All of the defenders are a bit of a rollercoster too, which makes it difficult.  I had Houli last year, and whilst he pumped out some great games, he also pumped out some shockers.  Enright and Shaw fall into that category too, whilst the wheels could fall off of Picken and Yeo at any moment.

AHHHH!!!

I also really want to make an upgrade down back this week and struggling as well. Scraping the barrel and had a look at J. Thurlow, seems to be the up and coming re-bounder for Geelong, has the good r.13 bye, priced at with 373,300 a BE of 6 and scored 90, 52, 71, 109, 100 with a decent draw coming up till his bye all looks great but with Kelly and Mackie returning who knows what his role will become

Leaving defence for last. Would consider the premos at this stage: hodge, picken, Kelly, shaw, houli. Other than them the rest are potential... Like Simpson and hibbard can get back easy enough. Same as Brodie smith. I'm leaving for a few weeks but to get s greater gauge

Annoyingly, this thread has actually made it even more difficult for me to decide, haha.  I think at this stage I'm tossing up between Houli and Shaw...

always the case ahahah. too many different peoples ideas. Shaw would be okay. but expect 110 one week and 50 the next. If you dont mind riding that than that will be fine. Houli is slightly more consistant, but not reall consistent either ha

I have Shaw and he has been alright. Not enough kicking to himself out of defense.

I butchered that.  I brought Houli in.  :-\
