Smith or Hodge??

G'day Fellas,

I was part of the lucky bunch who started with both bartel and goodes and looking to lay off both this week. I was tempted to go bartel to bont but I've decided to upgrade goodes instead by downgrading jimmy to krakour (if named) By doing so I am able to go goodes to either Brodie Smith or Hodgey (with 200k in the bank) but I cant for the life of me decided!!

What are your thoughts lads? Maybe there is someone else I should be considering?

You'll want both but Hodgey has a BE of 50 so this should be the cheapest he is all year, ive jumped on but of course I started Smithy :P

Naaaah Hodge will throw in a 50 odd at some point and his price will plummet. I agree you'll probably want both at some point but given that Hodge has just had a price jump you're paying overs for him. With that said, At the moment they're both pretty much the same price and Smith has the higher BE. I don't like the idea of paying >500k for any defender really (though Smith and Simmo will probably be wirth their starting price). But just about everyone drops under 500 at some point...

Honestly pendles its hard to say without seeing both lines but I think I would be waiting for teams and see what happens with Goodes. He must be close to being dropped, if so he's not a pressing worry and I would hold off to see what WhiteX turns up this week, and Sideways out Bartel for a premo, no point bringing Krak in a week early...

Yeah I do feel as though I am paying overs and with rookies doing well can easily start them, but its just that I want goodes out so bad! hopefully he gets dropped... thanks for the input!
