Is it better to trade a non-playing or under performing rookie?

Hi.  I am not sure to trade cockatoo or lamb out.  I have the GAJ problem like everyone else.

Currently my plans are:  GAJ>Fyfe , Cockatoo>NVB.  However, cockatoo is playing and I am not making any money off of lamb.

Should I go: GAJ>NVB with Cockatoo > Bont?  This gives me a good F5-6 in Bont and 300K to upgrade to fyfe in a few weeks when on my rookies tops out. But is the gain in cash generation worth the few weeks that Bont doesn't equal fyfe?

My midline is:  GAJ, Pendles, JPK, Jelwood, Griff + All the good rookies.
B: Gray, Dusty, Bartel + all the good rookies

Help would be appreciated.  I am still leaning on doing the fyfe trade as it does give me one non-playing guy for the loophole.  Thoughts?

Lamb has to go, Darling will be back soon and that means season over for Lamb

I am in same boat. Trading Cocky out works for my team dynamics and allows me to use Lamb as a loophole donut. If you think Cocky can improve his scoring that is the only reason you would keep him.
