Emergencies question

I'm aware that if you have two players emergency you get the lowest score of the two players... but what happens if one of these players didn't play?

Ie. if I had Tom Lamb and Bellchambers (for loophole purposes) both as forward emergencies, would I get a donut (as Lamb didn't play) or Bellchambers score?

All came about due to forgetting to take E off Lamb last night
