Ok Guys so basically I’m looking for an undervalued starting ruckman who will give me solid points for minimal price. I have struggled with my Ruck division most this year and hopefully this with your input will help me clarify the situation.

This is who I Believe will be the first and 2nd ruckman at each club along with some comments about each. Only players listed in the ruck for SC will be discussed here.
Basically the players I’m considering to be undervalued / Provide good value for money are the following

Cameron Wood (Carlton): Wouldn’t have elevated him if they didn’t plan on playing him. Averaged 83 in Pre-Season from 2 games which is solid.  Also averaged 80 from the 6 games he played last season.

Grundy (Collingwood):  Concering that he only averaged 57 in the NAB cup however should hold the no 1 Ruck gig at Collingwood if he doesn’t get suspended.

Bellchambers (Essendon) â€" Will he hold down the no 1 Ruck Gig with giles in the side. Assuming he can play â€" ASADA verdict tomorrow. Averaged 85 and 81 In 2012 and 2013 however struggled in 2014 with 56 from his 7 games. Can he get back to his average 80 + for this price he would have to be a lock?

Jamar (Melbourne) -  Disappointing average of 50 in the NAB cup.  Will hold the no 1 Ruck at Melbourne and has traditionally been good at hitouts to advantage. Averaged 82 last season from 17 games and just under 80 for the previous 5 seasons.  Will the new scoring system make him jump through the roof?

Hickey ( Stkilda) â€" Not sure if he will hold the no 1 ruck spot from longer however he should.  47 in the NAB cup doesn’t help with my fears. Averaged 88 last year which is promising.

Longer (Stkilda) -  43 Points average from 2 NAB cup games. Young and always improving.  Averaged 65 from 16 games last season.

Hale (Hawthorn) -  1 game in the NAB cup and a handy 65.  Will play in the hawks side however may be rested at stages throughout the year.  Averaged 73 last season however the previous 2 seasons were 83 and 95.

Cordy (WBD)â€" Fills me with great confidence however not to sure about his JS. Averaged 65 in his 2 NAB cup games.  Got 59 in his 1 game last season. If he could averaged 65-70 this season could be a steal at R2 for 250K.

Others that have caught my eye are blicavs, simpson, Hampson and Lycett however unsure on their JS. The other Factor is the GCS boys Smith and Nichols.

Would love anyone’s thoughts on the above mentioned player and whether or not they can be a viable SC pick this year. Bear in mind I know none of these guys are going to set the world on fire. I just want good consistency and value for money.

Cheers Guys

Adelaide:  1st â€" Sauce , 2nd â€" Lowden???

Brisbane 1st â€" Martin , 2nd - Berger

Carlton   Ruckman: Kruzer, Warnock and Wood. With wood elevated and kreuzer injured will both wood and Warnock play?????

Collingwood:    1st- Grundy , 2nd - Witts

Essendon 1st â€" Belcho, 2nd - Giles

Fremantle:  1st- Sandilands , 2nd - Clarke

Geelong : Unknown Here as well. Have McIntosh, Blicavs and Simpson all here
.
Goald Coast â€" 1st â€" Smith, 2nd â€" Nichols/Gorringe

GWS -  1st â€" Mumford, 2nd- Phillips

Hawthorn 1st â€" McEvoy, 2nd â€" Hale/Ceglar

Melbourne 1st- Jamar,  2nd â€" Gawn/Spencer

North Melbourne â€" 1st â€" Goldstein. Only normally play with 1 ruckman

Port Adelaide No Idea how they will line up with Ryder,  redden and Lobbe

Richmond 1st â€" Maric , 2nd -Hampson

Stkilda 1st- Hickey , 2nd â€" Longer â€" This one really intrigues me. Think longer could be in for a massive Year and very underpriced

Sydney -  1st â€" Pyke, 2nd - Derickx

West Coast â€" NicNat/ Lycett â€" Cant spate them. Think Lycetts tap work could be good however worried about getting the vest at ¾ time.

Western Bulldogs 1st Minson, 2nd â€" Cordy/Campbell. Another good battle for the second ruck spot. If one of them can hold a place down all season could be a viable R2 for under 250K

That's alot of writing...
I'd only consider belly, kruz (when not injured) and the berger

bkp130

Yeah i know its a lot of writing. Only took me about 10 mins though. Help me justify my decisions if i write things down haha. Have done this for most positions.

At the Moment i have Belly and one of wood/Berger. Think woods ceiling is higher and as long as he can hold on to his spot could be a solid pick for only 390K. Depends on the whole kruz situation i guess.

Well you will find out Belly tomorrow and saw on tonights news that Warnock is trying to prove his fitness for round 1 so on that your ruck choices are looking rather bleak

bkp130

Exactly which is why i put this up. See if there are any other viable cheap options out there

AaronKirk

Apart from Belly none of the others are IMO SC relevant.

david17

im thinking about starting with Goldy/Mummy as my rucks with Cox on the bench and playing Belly in the frwds as back up for mummy getting injured/rested seems like Goldy plays pretty much every game

I think the diamond in the rough could be Zac smith ....

But I am not on a risk picking him

If Nicholls wasn't playing I'd feel the same. The presence of Nicholls takes away too much of his potential scoring power I feel.

:) Blicavs for a third year break out and av 130 for the season. you heard it here first ;D

In all seriousness I think he has the potential to go to 85+ but he is always a sub risk and i wouldn't pick him.

Good work mate, but Leuy and Martin are pretty much equal. I wouldn't have 1 and 2 with them really. Also Trent West aswell who is decent.

Also Witts is number 1 and Collingwood going off last season and Nicholls is a fair bit better than Gorringe.
