I have opted for more premiums in the defence and forward lines because they are harder to change later on in the season. I have only three premiums in my midfield: Gaz, Treloar and Zaka. Other than that, I have mostly good players that were dogged by injury in 2014, plus a rookie. Taking these things into account, how does my midfield for 2015 look at the moment?

Gary Ablett jnr, Adam Treloar, David Zaharakis, Jack Ziebell, Jack Crisp, Daniel Wells, Daniel Rich, Colin Sylvia
Blaine Boekhorst, Alex Browne

Feedback would be appreciated.

You probably need to post whole team hard to say without looking at the other lines  ;)

Mr.Witt

I do like the idea of going more expensive in other lines but even if you are going cheaper in the midfield you could still do better than that. I think if you downgraded wells and Crisp to rookies you could easily turn Zaka and Ziebell into premiums but that's just my opinion.

Ablett, Pendles, Selwood, Treloar, Rich, Rookie, Rookie, Rookie
and 2 rookies on the bench

that would be better as it would make more money and in the long run score you more points!

BomberSam

Thanks for the feedback. I basically re-did most of my team, opting for rookies/returners from injury and premiums, with very few mid-pricers (with the exception of Wells and Rich who I believe will be of good value for their prices). Here is my new midfield:

Gary Ablett jnr, Nathan Fyfe, Joel Selwood, Adam Treloar, Daniel Wells, Daniel Rich, Colin Sylvia, Sam Blease
Blaine Boekhorst, Alex Browne

Mr.Witt

That looks a lot better mate like your first 6 but I reckon Sylvia could be changed to say a Petrecca or Brayshaw but apart from that it looks like a solid midfield!

could you have a look at my team!

Cheers, I am happier with how my side is looking now. I will assess my options, to decide who is likely to have a bigger price rise out of Sylvia and Petracca. It really depends on whether Sylvia will get selected next year.

Your team looks great. You seem to have a good variety of premiums, mid-pricers and rookies.

BomberSam

DEF: Shaw, Hibberd, Hurn, Newnes, Lumumba, Saad (Oxley, Goddard)

MID: Pendlebury, Selwood, JPK, Griffen, Swallow, Cripps, Boekhorst, Lambert (Ellis-Yolmen, Steele, Vandenberg)

RUCK: Maric, Naitanui (Read)

FWD: Goddard, Martin, Swan, Salem, Clark, Daniel (Lamb, Hogan)

CASH LEFT: $176,100

Now that JPK has came into my side for Ablett, what do I do with the cash?
I need good suggestions.

I could always go to M6 by turning JPK into Crouch and upgrading Cripps to Lachie Neale...risky? You can vote here: http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,101155.0.html

It's a great looking side, but just be careful you haven't jumped the gun on Ablett.  This time next week he could be pulling
down screamers.  But if you really have to spend the money I'd upgrade Swallow to Sloane or Ward...or maybe upgrade Salem
to perhaps a Mitchell. You know, it's always better to have too much money in the kitty than not enough.  Easier to deal with
unexpected emergencies.

Thanks for the advice! I will look into upgrading Swallow. I really like him as a value pick, but I guess him and Griffen could be too much risk in the one midfield. I get the feeling they will both be priced over 600k come season's end, but if I have the money, I may as well load another deadest gun into the midfield.

Decent team, only changes I'd be making are the Essendon players.

Goddard to Lids or Martin, Hibberd to Kelly/Birchall/Gibson (there's a few in that price range) and I'm not sure on Dalgleish's job security, if you can find the funds maybe Dalgleish to Ibbotson or Brett Goodes if he gets elevated.
