Profile

Taken Pick 15 in the 2013 draft, Jones had a disjointed debut season thanks to byes, subs and being senior emergency on occasion and this was reflected in some of his poor fantasy scores. However, on the positive side he was able to play four senior games which was a great effort in a top 2 side. He's never going to be a big scorer but regularly gets a handful of tackles which always helps. With Shaw aging, Malceski departed and Johnson continuing to be absent there's some wriggle room for Jones to get some more opportunities in 2015. Thanks to his sub affected scores he is still rookie priced and may be worth considering for a defensive selection, although his scoring will unlikely be acceptable for an on-field position.

Pros - Underpriced, good tackle numbers, could get more games

Cons - Vests, js, negative roles, poor kick/handball ratio

Also got injured early in his only starting game, then missed games with injury and concussion

Always looked active whenever he came on, but didn't really show in the DT scores

if no other defs stand out during NAB cup, then he may just make his way onto the bench, but not convinced about his scoring potential

i would think he will get games early, most likely as a close checking defender, but without eski there the load of running the ball out of defense will be shared round and with his running capacity, the chance to run off his fwd he might get some good scores.
