Can anyone shed any light on why Kane Lucas has a terrible year? at $255,700 for 2015 is he relevant?

his 2013 stats looked so promising and now being traded to WCE could it be possible for a rebound year at a new club?

No. (I'm a Carlton supporter) it was annoying watching him play because he always looked like he was going to be amazing and then he would spud it up over and over again.
I won't be picking him. 
To put it simply there are just better options for a cheaper price.

As a carlton supporter I see Lucas having the ability to be a good player but he doesn't seem to want too.
Might be lucky to make it as an emergency.  ???

I know a few of the Geelong boys did a triathlon in Noosa a few weeks ago - Not sure about Lucas though
