Alright thanks guys.
I see the merit in Jacobs------>Goldstein but you can't win this game without taking a risk or two initially. Lots on these forums seem to be going with Goldstien to save cash but I wanna do something a bit different....
Whats your thoughts on Lobbe and Maric for the upcomming season.... I think Both could improve but Maric is more likely to than Lobbe! Thoughts?

Agree with Maric as great POD option.   Could get back to 110-115 range and be in top 3 rucks for year

Back for another go. It is amazing how much teams have changed in all threads as it closer to NAB
Here is my next version:
B: H.Shaw, M.Hibberd, J.Newnes, B.Waters, J.Kolodjashnij, H.Goddard-------------T.Smith, S.Siggins
This line is so hard, always chopping and changing, I suspect I will need another defender like hurn/duffield but I am hoping newnes and waters do enough in NAB to suggest an 85 + avg so I don't have to change it at all.... Maybe to hopeful?

M: G.Ablett, J.Selwood, M.Barlow, N.Jones, B.Crouch, N.Van Berlo, B.Boekhurst, N.Freeman -------- M.Dick, W.Hams, K.Lambert
I don't want to start both Ablett and Pendlebury, with Melb and STK up first for Ablett I will prob go with him. I like doing things a bit different so Barlow and Jones are in for now(although I suspect not many of you will like the Jones pick). Crouch could go 110+.

R: I.Maric, N.Naitanui-----------M.Cox
I am loving what I am hearing about Maric atm. Not many have picked him. I like that POD

F: B.Goddard, L.Frankiln, D.Smith, T.Mitchell, M.Clark, J.Hogan---------------L.McBean, N.Krakouer.
This line appears weak. Got a gut feel on Smith. I feel he could go very well this year. Always a fan of Titchell, I expect a 100+ avg from him. Deledio, I have been tossing up with. I don't have a good gut feel about him for some reason. will re-asses after NAB

Remaining $$$$: $291,600
depending on what happens in NAB I need to upgrade def or fwd lines.
Also got my eye on a few more expensive rookies and mid pricers if they fit in. like M.Apeness, J. De Goey, D.Moore, K.Turner & J.Martin

What do you think?

Bully

4 rookies in defence is too many, think you need to spend that cash and bring in a mid pricer.

All the other lines look fine, you have a handy link between the mids & forwards so I can see someone like Lambert plugging any holes you may have. Solid team.

I have been away for sometime and have finally had the time to change around my side.... I am relativly happy with the players and structure I have now compared to the sides I have posted previously. Hopefully this side will remain as is until the teams are announced before round 1. If you can give one last bit of advice/feedback on this side I would appreciate it guys  :)

Backs B.Smith, H.Shaw, S.Hurn, J.Newnes, C.Pearce, H.Goddard (M.Dick, J.Kolodjasnij)
With the lack of rookie defenders available I think this structure suits as long as there is at least one rookie playing r1. I Have muddled around with who should be the mid-pricer at D5 at this stage Clancee on the back of his NAB performance but also considering J.Kolodjasnij, J.Geary at that spot. Happy with this line

Midfield G.Ablett, J.Selwood, M.Priddis, M.Barlow, B.Crouch, N.VanBerlo, B.Boekhurst, N.Freeman (A.Vandenberg, J.Steele, K.Lambert)
I have used the 4premo/1 potential 100+avg mid structure and it works well if you are right about the D5. Ablett i am not sold on yet. No NAB form and to the best of my knowledge hasnt had any contact training??????? But can downgrade to Pendlebury happily if needed. Priddis and Barlow very consistant and rookies will mostly play early I beleive.

Rucks T.Goldstein, I.Maric (M.Cox)
Had Naitanui for a long time but with lack of match practice at the momment i have changed him out. I'd prefer Maric over Goldstein only because he is more of a POD so can downgrade Goldy for Naitanui or Smith or Hickey, as left field options, to get a bit of coin.

Forwards B.Goddard, D.Martin, T.Mitchell, C.Salem, M.Clark, J.Hogan (P.Karnezis, C.Daniel)
Clearly the weakest line of the team but with the rookie options available this is the line to go weak on. I like Martin over Deledio and Mitchell over Swan. I beleive F 1,2&3 should avg 100=+ and if the rookie make some good coin I think I will be in a  good postion after the byes. Could also consider a mid-pricer here but I am not sure about that!

Cash remaining: $104,200
So that is the side. Please comment on it! I would also like your thoughts on which is the best mid-pricer to use at D5
Thanks guys  :)
