Really interesting hearing the Channel Nine commentary team discuss the World Cup squad.

They came up with:
Batsmen
1. Finch
2. Warner
3. Smith
4. Clarke

Allrounders
5. Marsh
6. Faulkner

Keeper
7. Haddin

Spinners
8. Maxwell
9. Boyce

Pace Bowlers
10. Johnson
11. Harris
12. Starc

The other names they had up were:
Watson
Bailey
White
Wade
Doherty
Lyon
Cummins
Hazlewood

Quite happy with their selected side, I'd personally only swap Haddin for Wade and Cummins for Starc.

Agree with one thing Nige why Haddin is even being considered is a bit puzzling even the tests are a bit of a stretch at his age  :o

PowerBug

Yeah I saw that run down, they were trying to select a squad of 15. I agree on the Watto thing though, not needed really, but the bowling option is nice. Imo all four pace bowlers make the squad (Johnson, Starc, Harris, Hazlewood)

White > Maxwell.

Sick of the hack job Maxwell now...

I reckon the spin bowling spots in the side will some down to the Tri-Series against India and England, Ideally we can throw Boyce, Doherty and Lyon against these teams and chose 2 for the World Cup squad.

Id only be content with Maxwell playing if he bats at 7 or lower. If he bats in the top 6 our batting is too weak imo.
