Profile

Drummond struggled with injuries last year and was overlooked in the 2013 draft but as a 19 year old he dominated the TAC and that, combined with his outstanding Combine performances, saw him picked up by Richmond. Nathan had a brief taste of VFL during the year as 23rd man for Tigers and at this stage he seems like one of the best rookies outside of the first rounders who have a chance of being fantasy relevant. There's still much work to do, with the most glaring issue being poor kicking efficiency. However, Drummond has a nice mix of clearance work, marking, tackling and goalkicking which could well see him play some games in 2015. Being a top-ager also gives him a bit of a leg up compared to some other rookies. If and when he gets named it's probably worthwhile jumping on.

Pros - Great stats across the board, seems ready to play

Cons - js, vests...the usual stuff

Prediction - 51-55

By the look of his vfl efforts seems he struggles a bit with the big boys. cant see him getting games this year. But could be a good future fantasy prospect i rekon!

Jukes

Not fantasy related, but a good article about him - http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/afl-hopeful-has-more-than-football-heritage-20130521-2jz5n.html

He's fast and strong and has great marking but yeah his disposal is very suspect. Reminds me of Courtenay Dempsey. Could be good, but probably not in 2015.

My understanding of the 23rd man rule in the VFL is that they are generally only given limited time. I doubt those scores were from 4 quarters.

23rd man rule.. What da. Never heard of that ha. Like a sub but extra man?

Mr.Craig

Yeah, a young player is aloud to play a max of 3 regular season games for a VFL side. They don't have a limit on the amount of minutes but they aren't just thrown to the wolves and made the play out the whole game. So most of the time with guys in that position they are scoring 40's-50's.
