St.Kilda and the Bulldogs just came off extended stints in the finals a couple of years ago. That involved several Grand Finals and Prelims.

In no way comparable to Melbourne brad, not even close

so people who have been supporting Saints or Dogs for 50+ years should be satisfied with some finals and grand final appearances?

Yes, they should. This is about getting off the bottom rungs of the ladder, not giving away free premierships to teams that can't go all the way.

If you think getting a pick is the difference between winning a Premiership and being on the bottom then I can't convince you otherwise

good on the AFL for making the right decision. and like I've said before, I like Melbourne and I look forward to watching Melbourne improve more next year

Have to admit. I really hate being told to be patient after 8 years of being at the bottom.

I know it's probably intended as banter, but you were in this position only two years ago so you would know how irritating a comment like that is; kicking a team while it's down. Be aware of the line.
