AFTER reviving his career with West Coast this season, small defender Jamie Bennell has agreed to terms that will tie him to the club for the next two seasons.

Bennell played 19 games as a running defender in 2014, his excellent kicking and ability to break the lines making him a bargain pick-up for the Eagles.

He also shut down quality small forwards consistently playing on stars such as Eddie Betts, Cyril Rioli, Hayden Ballantyne and Brandon Matera.

It was a fine return to form from Bennell who was given a rookie spot on the Eagles' list after Melbourne delisted him at the end of 2012 after four seasons and 57 games.

Well deserved

He really surprised me this year, considering he couldn't even get into the Melbourne line up.

Bad Luck Dees, another poor decision on your behalf

Glad we traded him in a few days ago in WXV too :D

One of our most consistent players all year, not sure why he was dropped during the year either.  Good decision maker and great skills under pressure.
