I know that no one gives a flower, but I'm just gonna post this so everyone realizes that I haven't forgotten about my man Gary Ballance. :P

Made a decent 77 in the first innings of the County Championship, despite not scoring for the first 25 balls he faced. :) Also, Adil Rashid, a bloke that should've been playing for England after Swann's departure, is nearing a ton with the bat early on Day 2. :D Pretty happy.

I follow this kinda passively.

Peter Siddle made a good start to his county season from what I read a day or two ago.

Also, not gonna make another thread for this... but Maxy Klinger is a (WA) Warrior now.

PowerBug

Oh yeah Ballance backed up that 77 with a lazy 174. >:D

Ballance has backed up the 174 with 130 at Lords. He went from 74 to 130 off only 21 balls with the number 11 at the other end. :) What a boss.

Edit: It'd be unfair if I just left it at that, so here's the rest. That was the 3rd innings, Yorkshire set Middlesex 472 to win, in about 4.5 sessions. At stumps on Day 3, Middlesex are 230/1 (51.0) with Chris Rogers flying on 122* (149). Only wicket to fall is that of Aussie-born Englishman Sam Robson for 77. He is also expected to make the England squad for their next test match.

Re-Edit: Rogers passed 200. Middlesex are going to chase the 472 set for victory.

Bucky Rogers is an absolute beast

PowerBug

He finished 243* as Middlesex won by 7 wickets. What a champion. Shame he made Ballance's (at the time matchwinning) 130 look mediocre, but credit where it's due, that was great.

Yorkshire really need to find some bowlers, Ryan Sidebottom on the wrong side of 35yo being the frontliner isn't the best...

Anything a Pom can do an Aussie can do better.

Has anyone seen James Foster's stumping?  :o

Standing up to the seamer, takes a shocking ball on the legside and gets a stumping. Pretty good effort to get a dismissal of such a ordinary delivery.

Who wants to see something awesome? Twice! (dw this doesn't involve Gary Ballance, but it is from Yorkshire)

You know those catches where one bloke jumps over the rope and knocks it back for the 2nd bloke to catch? Well look at this from Adam Lyth and Aaron Finch a few weeks ago:

Now look at this from Adam Lyth and Aaron Finch AGAIN last night:

Once, fluke maybe, twice?! Same guys, same roles. Remarkable!

Saw those catches yesterday, flowering insane

yeah some great catches there. liked the second one better cos it was a bit harder for Finchy to catch the throw back. both awesome though  8)

Nige

Absolutely amazing, Finchy (and Lyth) is such a gun!
