Is it too early to write-off D8? Any $115k options?

Howdy,

Cash flow was marginally lower than I had hoped.

I have $25.1k.
I have Ambrose at F6.
I have Langdon at D5, with bench of XEllis and Griffiths)
If I do -Ambrose, -Langdon, I have $665,800

Barlow is $539.4k.

This means I have $126.4k.

Alternatively, Stevie J is $537k ($128.8k)

I can't get any playing Defenders to fill in D8 for that price unfortunately. Is it too early to get in a $115k defender who won't play this year? (Or, might some?)

I have 7 Premo Mids + Parker... so, want to get an 8th premo mid in this week and move Parker back to Fwd.... but as you can see, I'm cash strapped.

Am I better off just twiddling with the team (look at Langdon to Swallow or Ambrose to Wingard or Cox to Nic Nat or -Griffiths at all costs) this week, and getting in my 8th premo mid next week (Stevie J will be cheaper, I can save up cash this week to be able to afford Rockliff next week)?

Or, can I write off D8 and get Barlow (or Stevie J) in this week?

Option 2:
Small tinker with the team this week (Langdon to Swallow is my favourite), and get my 8th Mid Premo in next week?

I already have Bock as F8, as I went international between teams and lockout and just guessed he'd be named :(.

There's a few 115k defenders who might possibly get a chance. J.Kolodjashnij and Jordan Kelly have been in good form so you never know.

J Kodo is like $150k from memory.

Jordan Kelly looks like as good of a choice as any I suppose.

I did 2 weeks ago with Litherland. That worked out a hell of a lot better than I planned and I'll probably downgrade him next week and go for someone else bottom priced. A bit risky with my D7 Langford currently awol but I'm beyond caring at this point.

no,
I made mine Bews a few weeks ago
but with Langdon/Watts/Suckling occupying D5-7, I'm not fussed about him at all
