I only have 1 spot left for one of these defenders. Who do we think will score more points for the rest of the year?

_wato

And the winner will be.. Kade Simpsonnn

Vinny

Flip of a coin really. Perhaps Bartel's dpp could be helpful down the road?

I personally prefer Bartel but not much between them really from a statistical point

MontyJnr

Either of these guys could be D1. Flip a coin.

Simpson easily for me. He is either in the midfield or playing that sweeping half back role which is great for SC. Bartel relies on injuries to his midfielder teamates to be able to get more time in the midfield. When all of Geelong's top mids are playing it means that Bartel spends time up forward which affects his SC scores.

Bartel is $23k cheaper than Simpson. Maybe that cash will be better use elsewhere?

Both are going to be top 6 defenders at the end of the season. I would go Simpson though, only on the basis that Bartel could be rested later in the season.

Bartel seems to be scoring pretty well no matter where he plays this year. It was only last week when Johnson was out that his midfield time increased a bit yeah? Still a top 6 defender IMO!

Would still go Simpson though.

Bartel will be a top 3 defender easily.

Thanks guys. I ended up going with Bartel...happy with his score tonight considering the Cats got demolished!

Thewizz71

Got both - hope that keeps me happy. If I had to choose one, I think Bartel just for consistency.

Simpson doesn't miss many games and always scores well
