Quick Advise Required Please!

OK, so I need to make a call on what to do

I have Langford, Enright and Cutler who are all out, giving me a donut, and on top of that I have already fielded Bews and copped his lousy 29

I am currently 1st in my cash league, but there are 4 of us tied, and then 5-7 are only 1 game behind

My planned trades this week are Higgins to Shenton and Buckley to Jobe, but now I am wondering if I should upgrade Langford instead of Buckley

It means I will have to pay even more for Jobe next week and lose the difference in points between Jobe and Buckley this week, but I guess that might be better than a donut in the backs?

Problem is, I have McVeigh, Simpson, Swallow and Hibberd already, and I cant get Bartel or Malceski who have already played

That leaves Burgoyne and Johnson, and I don't really want either (I want Bartel or Eski for my last spot) or the cheaper options of Hurn and Jaensch. Again I don't really want them because Enright as D6 is enough and I think one of them at D5 is too weak

So what the hell do I do? Get Jobe, cop the donut and just tank this round meaning I could drop to as low as the bottom 8 in my league and not to mention my overall rank will take a smashing, or do I get one of the defenders I don't really want long term just to avoid a donut this week?

I went with Johnson this week, his stats are solid. I'd upgrade,  yoy need to do it anyway

What about Hanley as well still averaging 90+ taking out his injury effected game as well. Hodge is also another sound option if not sold on Burgoyne.

It's my last def spot, and I think I would really like it to go Bartel eventually, or even Malceski

Out of all the current options Johnson is the most attractive to me, and Freo's run doesn't hurt either

Do I bring in Johnson to avoid the donut, and miss out Bartel all together, or do I just get Jobe as planned and tank this round?

Because I already have Bews' crappy 29 included in my score, I kind of feel like I will lose anyway so maybe I should just tank it anyway?

Tank. Aim for the best defenders which means Bartel or Mitchell.

I've decided to tank it. Just hope I don't slide down the ladder too much, but expect my overall ranking to drop heaps, but that's ok because whether I finish the year ranked 1000 or 3000 its all much of a muchness

I'll send out the Hail Mary now hoping Langford or Cutler get the late call up  :D :D :-[

Knowing how this year is going they'll probably both get a call up and the one on the bench will ton up while the one on the field will spud it up!  :P
