Going to be doing top 10's for defenders, defensive/centre midfielders, attacking midfielders, wingers and forwards.

Also doing a top 10 players under 21.

My Chumps

Anything? Looking forward to this, should be interesting.

Yeah will get around to do some tonight. Going to include fullbacks due to defenders being too broad.

CENTRE BACKS

Kicking us off at #10

Javi Martinez

Putting him in CB's due to him playing there most of the time anyway. Excellent ball playing defender. Does 2.6 tackles per game, 1.5 interceptions, but its the positioning and ball skills that impress the most. He is also quite tall and physical yet isn't really "slow". Such an intelligent player.

Per Mertesacker

Really underrated defender due to him being really really slow. However, this just impresses me even more due to him always having to be in position. Has the highest areal duels won obv. Best partnership of the premier league by far with Kos. 7.2 clearances a game is really high and together with Kos they have the highest amount of clearances, which is laughable about how easy Arsenal are to break against.

Had a really down year. He made so many unforced errors that are just out of character. This season he has either been absolutely flawless or absolutely terrible. Still makes 2.4 tackles, 2.1 int per game tho, to go along with his 0.5 block shots. Starting to lose his physical dominance, which could be a problem. City's title win and last season, he was almost unplayable.

Honestly think he is one of the most improved centre backs in the world this year. Excellent ball skills, which is perfect for Bayern, and also really, really quick, which obv works out well with Dante. His positional and man marking play is exceptional. Needs to control his temper and get a bit more physical.

7. Jerome Boateng

Boateng's/Martinez partner or sometimes both. Excellent in the air and positional work (much like Mertesacker). Fantastic at tackling which is a huge plus for a big defender. Stat line is great all across the board.

Going with Hummels here. He doesn't have a weakness at all. Excellent positioning, in the air and on the ground. Maybe a bit slow, but he is a fantastic reader of the ball.
