Is Hooker the real deal?

I can't believe he's averaging 106.8 a round after never averaging over 80 in the past 5 years. Still, 121 111 80 108 & 114's are all pretty hard to ignore. Would be an awesome POD if he can keep it up, but I've been burnt by Essendon blokes before (mainly Stanton) so i'm real wary...

Thoughts guys?

Bombers fan here...

He's taking alot of marks in defence, and alot of short effective kicks between the back half... i assume the way bomber is asking them to chip the ball around im sure he will score quite well...

until they man up on him he should still keep getting plenty of marks/kicks/eff disp...

but in my opinion i wouldn't get him just seems to massive risk....  but could be a good POD tho...!!

Didn't even know he was going well haha. I probably still wouldn't. Go with your gut.

Bombers are playing with a super high possession style at the moment (most in the afl possibly?), so I reckon we will see some breakout numbers there this season. They also have one of the highest numbers of backwards kicks in the comp... beneficiary being hooker at HB picking up cheap possies.
With that in mind I'm pretty keen to get some more bombers in my team, and hooker is looking like a good option.

However, they have been copping it a bit in the media for all their backwards kicks... not sure bomber thomson gives a flower though.

Just a query - is he really just getting cheap kicks or is he actually being effective?

CD and us SC elitists always bang on about SC being better because it is a truer reflection of a player's worth.

I assume he must be effective, and if so, no reason to think he'll drop a lot.

It's the defensive marks from opposition kicks that's he has been taking.

I have him in supercoach draft and he's been amazing

Same thing was said about Hibberd last year.
I thinl he could be a great pick.

My gut instinct is to take the risk and bring him in. I've just got that image of him chasing Buddy at the MCG down the wing and struggling big time. I'm a Bombers fan and he's always been a 2-3rd level defender IMO.

However, i'd ideally like Hibberd because I think he'll be more consistent with his range (85-110) rather than Hooker who's shown us in seasons prior 40-110's.

Early days and everyone has or will be jumping on Jaensch. I think i'll be different....
