Caddy and Rohan must go!

So, I do not like trading so much early in the season, but my forward line really needs a restructure.

Here is what I am thinking of going with this week.

Josh Caddy --> Jackson Merrett

Gary Rohan --> Alex Fasolo

I lose a bit of cash short term, but these two should make quite a few dollars each, have decent if not good JS and will give me better on field scoring than what I was getting.

Thoughts? Are there better options out there?

Btw, just to show what my forward line is at the moment.

Zorko, Martin, Dangerfield, Caddy, Higgins, Rohan (Impey, Kennedy-Harris)

why caddy to merrett?   doesnt fix your fwds and will require another trade later.    whatt about buddy or pav as options.

agree rohan has to go but what are you getting going to fasolo now?  maybe 20 pts with large risk.   wait and see what is on offer next week.

Id keep Caddy, Scoring 60-80 each week as bench cover is fine for me. DPP status will also help come bye rounds
Surely you couldnt of expected Caddy to average over 80+, yet you still selected him and now want to trade him out after 4 games?
Trade out Rohan - J Merett id you can afford him

I did expect caddy to average 80+, I wouldn't have paid 320k odd for a bloke to average 65.

I don't have the cash to go Rohan to Merrett, and Merrett should peak at around 400-450k being a much better cash cow than Caddy. I also don't see too many better options than Fasolo to get right now, and I don't want to lose any more cash on Rohan.

In a couple of weeks time if Merrett is scoring 70s and 80s like Caddy is will you move him as well?

Merrett scored 130 against Carlton and has Freo next. I could probably score 100 against Carlton, and trading young un-proven guys in before they face the points reapers of Freo is usually a recipe for disaster.

If Merrett keeps up an 80 average, which I see him doing - he has a decent draw up to his bye, got the Saints, Dogs and Lions in there. If he keeps up the average he should be around $450k by the time his bye comes around, so that would be the perfect time to offload him.

Caddy, meanwhile has a higher BE for the next few weeks and hasn't really shown that he can score too big yet.

Anyway, in the end if it means I'm wasting one trade, I don't really care. 30 trades is more than enough for the season, you can afford to do a sideways or two early on I feel.
