Was wondering what people thought about this. With the unlimited trades and prices changing after round two, would it be smart to get on players who went huge last week for the price rise and because you are more than likely not needing your round 3 trades, trade them away for a little bit of cash
Eg. Pick Heppell this week, not a player i have in mind as a keeper, although his price should rise after the 150, and say pick up Fyfe next week as his price will decrease, but i see Fyfe as a player I want in the future.
Thoughts ?

From what I understand, the amount that a player's price will rise or fall is determined by every game played before with more weighting given to the most recent game. Therefore, the price change will depend far greater on Rd 2 scores instead of Rd 1 scores. Now what the actual difference in weighting is is anybody's guess. Just know that if Heppell comes out and doesn't back up his 150, then it is the Rd 2 score that will have more effect on his price change...

Some good advice from a Sports Fan article

QuoteRemember also that price changes are more fluid this season. Prices begin moving from Monday and will adjust every round based on a player's output across the season, with some weighting given to their performance in 2013. The code won't be cracked until a few weeks into the season and until it is, predicting price changes will be close to impossible. So basically, don't assume you will be picking up Dane Swan for a song next week thanks to his 97 against the Dockers. We just don't know if that will be the case.
And it also works the other way around, i.e. don't expect Heppell to gain $80k because of his 150.

Mr.Craig

You have to back in the players you are picking to perform strongly for at least another two or three weeks if you want to make worthwhile money out of them (particularly if they are like Heppell and already highly priced).

it would appear so. Who knows how much the weighting will be, but it definitely seems like if you're waiting for fallen premos, you'll be waiting longer than usual
