Pretty well nailed it BB however I would probably switch Patful and Harwood.  I see both Harwood and Golby occupying the Back pockets to suit Leppas game plan of switching in defence which suits both these players game styles.

Do not think all of Mayes, Aish, Lester and Beams will play. Think the last position will be one of Aish, Robertson, Cutler or Close dependent on structure required Staker can go back in defence if need be if Close is played or stay if Cutler is played.

Another interesting one could be Polkinghorme who has been playing across HB in some games as well but he shapes as a vest candisate if used at all..

I forgot about Ash McGrath as well. Suppose there is no room for him anymore? It's hard trying to fit him in somewhere.

Ringo

McGrath would also be in the mix for that final position.  hard to leave him out after his heroics but it may be a sign of things to come. Goose is another in this category and I will be very surprised if he makes round 1 team.

I came up with this best 22 today. What do people think?

FB: Joel Patfull, Daniel Merrett, Mitch Golby

HB: Jed Adcock, Justin Clarke, Ryan Harwood

C: Pearce Hanley, Tom Rockliff, Daniel Rich

HF: Sam Mayes, Luke McGuane, Dayne Zorko

FF: Josh Green, Jonathan Brown, Brent Staker

R: Matthew Leuenberger, Jack Reddan, Brent Moloney

I: Ryan Lester, Trent West, James Aish, Claye Beams

I think that will be the team round 1. I think only paparone might be an option over beams to add a forward option but that would be about it.

Its really no a bad side on paper. I guess the unknown is weather Leppa will go with guys like Goose and McGrath but I dont think he should. Stick with the kids

Think atm Strikes Close is in front of Paporone based on training and trial games.

Going by articles and little rumors i'm expecting Leppa to main something like this on Thursday

Adcock - Merrett - Clarke
Golby - Patful - Hanley
Aish - Rich - Redden
Mayes - Close - Paparone
Green - Brown - Zorko
Leuy - Moloney - Rockliff

Lester - Harwood - West

Cutler

have a feeling Cutler might pip Robbo for the vest although it could be anyones.

Ringo

Pretty much what I expect Strikes. Assumes McGuane is ruled out with injury.

Do not know whether you are aware that Goose is also being used as a forward now in training drills and intra club so would not surprise to see him with vest as well. Taylor is also back in full training adding to the mix.
