Thought I would post this here for comments and thouhts

Brisbane Lions
B: Joel Patfull, Daniel Merrett, Mitch Golby
HB: Ryan Harwood, Justin Clarke, Jed Adcock
C: James Aish, Daniel Rich, Pearce Hanley
HF: Sam Mayes, Luke McGuane, Dayne Zorko
F: Josh Green, Jonathan Brown, Jordan Lisle
FOLL: Matthew Leuenberger, Brent Moloney, Tom Rockliff
INT: Trent West, Jack Redden, Ryan Lester
SUB: Claye Beams

"Calf injuries to Brent Staker and Ash McGrath make selections a little easier for round one against Hawthorn. Coach Justin Leppitsch has been reluctant to use tagger Andrew Raines through the pre-season, so a job on Sam Mitchell first-up seems unlikely. The major decision will come over which tall forward will support Jonathan Brown and Luke McGuane. Jordan Lisle is likely to get first crack, but don't be surprised if Michael Close nabs the spot."

Think both McGuanne and Lisle disappointed yesterday although delivery was poor. Close probably outplayed both so would not surprise if he is named Round 1. Injury to Beams probably opens door for Nick Robertson to be sub.  Robertson was probably best for Lions in yesterdays NEAFL loss to Aspley. If Staker fit for Round 1 though he would be an automatic inclusion. With doubt surrounding Brown all of Lisle McGuane and Close may play.

Doesn't look like there's room for Cutler

Staker and McGrath are out for the hawks McGuane in a fair amount of doubt as well.

Odds of Close playing have strengthened.

Browny is going to have to play now as well... up front with Close and Lisle/Paparone

or Bourke elevated to take Beams place.
