this site mentions it

'This season, in arguably the biggest change, price changes will occur after just 1 round!'
it's not an official AFL fantasy source though. I'll keep looking for the proper source.

Mr.Craig

If they had managed to write their FAQ's competently we wouldn't need to look for sources.

Jukes

If the price changes are after one round, Swallow's BE will be about 69...I think.

Current Price / MN
377,000 / 5450 = a bit over 69

but the MN would significantly change if everybody that plays goes up/down

Also we're not sure how players prices will change this season. Before it was 3 rd rolling average as you needed 3 games before price change.

Score 5 one round and you go down to $50,000 total? lol

BE isn't relevant until the player's 3rd game though. Why is it even listed?

as for myself Swallow has been a lock for a while this season. Too cheap and has a midfield role. As long as he averages +78 I'm happy. He's either a stepping stone or a keeping in my opinion, hopefully the latter.

Pretty sure it's relevant for the player's 2nd game

Thought I read somewhere that this year in AF player prices change after their 2nd game?
prices change after their first game, it is just that this system isn't coming into effect until the end of round 2 (price rises at the end of round 2, even if that's their first game).
Really? Thanks for that I wasn't aware that the prices would change after r2 regardless of games played :) I'm going to go over my team a few more times to see if there's any players I'm not confident of

okay just read what mr craig posted, so it's a lot less pressure because we have a game to preview potential talent.

But anyway to whoever posted this topic lock D Swallow in, Hanley, Kade, Harry M etc. entail more risk than Swallow does and Swallow may outscore a few of the aforementioned players

From DT Talk...

Q: How will the change in rules effect my team selection over the first couple of weeks?

A: There are two parts to this question:

Firstly, you will be able to make unlimited trades up until the North Melbourne V Essendon game. During the period prior to this game you will be able to trade/sub any players whose club is yet to take the field in season 2014. Once the North Melbourne V Essendon game has begun, normal lockout rules will be applied and no trades will be able to be made.

We understand the complexities that have been thrown up due to round one being a split round. As a result of this, for the first time this year you will be able to make unlimited trades until the first game of round 2. This will be a crucial week for your Fantasy season, as all price changes will commence after players have played two games.
The two bolded statements seem to be contradictory do they not?

You could read it that way I guess, but no not really I don't think I guess if you tried to interpret it that way

But what it means is once North game starts we have a standard "lock out" but after the rd 1 lock out is over it's back to like pre-season and our trade are unlimited again therefore you can make as many trades as you want post-lock out.

Ah yes. Lucky I clarified that or I would have been in for a big surprise next week ::)
