What if Xavier Ellis is named the sub for round 1?

So most of us have him locked in our side and I would think that most are planning to start him on the field for round 1.

The Eagles play the very last game of the round so all our other players will have been locked in.

Ellis has had the green vest a lot in the past so what do you do if he is named the sub for round 1? It is unlikely that we can turn him into anybody else as it's unlikely that any midfield rookies from the Eagles or Doggies will play.

In case he is the sub will you start say Luke Dunstan on the field for round 1 and move Ellis to the bench?
Will you run the risk and play Ellis on the field?
Or is it best to just not have Ellis in our sides at all?

Interested to hear people's thoughts..

Rd 1 mate, your gut instinct will take over.  I would put Ellis on the park over a rookie and bite the bullet and hope he isnt the sub.  Cant see him being the sub, more likely to get subbed out at 3QT.  By then he should have 60-70 points

I'm benching him for this exact reason. Have Michie and Polec on the field instead of him

I'm probably going to have him on the bench this week for that reason, which means he'll probably pump out a ton ;) :P

Cant see him starting sub - if Sheed gets named, which I think he will, I see him starting as sub

Don't think he'll be the sub either. Stiff s*** and tough bickies if he is.
